University of Auckland India High Achievers Scholarship now LIVE for Indian students
The university has announced that the University of Auckland India High Achievers Scholarship is now LIVE for Indian students. It is worth $20,000.
Study in New Zealand: The University of Auckland has made the India High Achievers Scholarship LIVE for Indian aspirants who seek admission in the 2025 intake.
The scholarship is open to students from India who will enrol in PGDip, undergraduate and Masters programs. The scholarship value is $20,000 towards tuition fees.
For the Semester One 2025 intake, the university started accepting applications form August 30, 2024, and the last date to apply is October 24, for the Semester Two 2025 intake, the application deadline is April 1, 2025.
There are a total of 30 scholarships available which will cover tuition fees for one year.
“The main purpose of the scholarship is to attract new international students of high calibre from India to enrol full-time in undergraduate or postgraduate study of one year or more at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland," reads the official statement of the university.

As per the QS World University Rankings 2025, the University of Auckland is positioned at 65.
The candidates are advised to first read the regulations and eligibility criteria carefully to apply for the scholarship and then fill out the application form. They are also advised to not open two different scholarship applications in a single browser.
University of Auckland researchers in Stanford's top scientists list
289 academics from the University of Auckland from various range of disciplines are listed in the 2024 Stanford Elsevier list of the Top Two Percent of Scientists.
Professor John Ioannidis of Stanford University has compiled the annual list in alliance with the academic publisher Elsevier. The list is created to encourage and recognize the researchers who have made a significant impact in their respective fields.
"A further 64 University of Auckland researchers join the list this year, a marked lift from 2023. In all, 1,132 researchers come from New Zealand. The 2024 Stanford Elsevier list includes more than 200,000 researchers worldwide. The top ten tertiary institutions are dominated by North American universities. Harvard Medical School ranked first with 1,203 researchers in this year’s list," said the university's statement.
