University Of Birmingham Offers 125th Anniversary Scholarships For Indian Students

To mark the 125th anniversary celebrations, the University of Birmingham has offered various special scholarships, especially for students from India. The university is also accepting applications for 125th Anniversary Scholarships from outstanding international students.

The scholarship is worth ranging from £4,000 to £5,000. It is available for Indian students planning to enrol in various postgraduate taught (PGT) Master’s degrees to commence in September 2025.

Professor Adam Tickell, the University of Birmingham’s Vice-Chancellor, stated,I am proud to kickstart our 125th anniversary celebrations here in India specifically. I would want to draw attention to the institution’s dedication to globally advancing research and education, which is supported by its tradition of excellence and innovation. The university has always attempted to address global issues and promote a brighter future, and this milestone underscores that goal. We are proud to deepen our ties with India by offering these scholarships. They represent our long-standing commitment to empowering global talent and advancing knowledge to address the challenges of the future

The university also announced the installation of its new Chancellor with a series of special Chancellor’s Scholarships. Sandie Okoro OBE is the eighth Chancellor of the university who succeeded Lord Bilimoria of Chelsea CBE.

University Of Birmingham Scholarships For Indian Students

The university has announced various scholarships for Indian students including:

  • 125th Anniversary Scholarships: The deadline is the end of May 2025. Under this scholarship, £4,000 awards will be given to eligible Indian students enrolling in postgraduate Master’s programs. However, it is not available for MBA, MSc Marketing, MSc International Business, and MSc Management courses. There is no cap on students for £4,000 scholarships. Outstanding Indian students selected through the India Chancellor's Scholarship program get an award of £5,000. This award is for all Master's programs including the business disciplines. It will be granted to 50 students based on academic merit.
  • Chancellor’s Scholarships 2025: There are 15 scholarships worth £6,000 each. The deadline is the end of May 2025. The selection will be based on the academic merit.
  • MBA Scholarships: It is for outstanding students applying for the Purposeful Leader MBA programme. The value is up to £15,000. For the Responsible Business MBA, an additional scholarship of up to £10,000 will also be given.
  • India High Fliers Undergraduate Scholarships: It is applicable for undergraduate programs and there are limited scholarships for Indian students. The deadline is the end of May 2025. The scholarship will be given based on the nominations from schools or agents and academic merit.
