The names of these faculty members of the University of Connecticut are - Moshi Gai, Megan Berthold, Asif Majid, George Bollas, and Samantha Siedlecki.

University of Connecticut faculty members named Fulbright Scholars

Study in US: The U.S. Department of State and the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board have named five faculty members of the University of Connecticut for Fulbright Scholars for the academic year 2024-25.

It is a prestigious award given to administrators, researchers, faculty and established professionals doing research and teaching. These scholars expand their professional networks, engage in cutting-edge research, and lay the groundwork for future partnerships.

On returning to their countries, these scholars become active supporters of international exchange. They encourage students and colleagues to go abroad and invite foreign scholars to campus.

Moshi Gai will do the research at the Extreme Light Infrastructure Nuclear Physics lab. He is the director of the Laboratory for Nuclear Science at UConn Avery Point and a professor of Physics. In 2025, he will teach at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest in Romania about stellar evolution concepts.

Megan Berthold will be Fulbright Canada Distinguished Research Chair in Public Affairs in North America: Society, Policy, Media, at Carleton University. She has earned a yearlong award. Megan Berthold is a professor in the School of Social Work.








Other winners include - Samantha Siedlecki, George Bollas, and Asif Majid.

CAHNR Welcomes New Faculty Members

College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources (CAHNR) at the University of Connecticut has recruited many new faculty members.
