University of Edinburgh offers Global Online Learning Masters Scholarships
The scholarships are for the eligible part-time distance learning Master's programmes. The last date to apply for the scholarship is 3rd June 2024.
The University of Edinburgh announced twenty master's scholarships for eligible part-time distance learning master's programmes offered by the University. The tenure of the scholarship will be through the normal duration of the programme of study and it will cover full tuition fees of the program.
The criteria to provide the scholarship will be based on the strength of the personal statement and academic merit. Priority will be given to those who are studying at the master's level for the first time. The last date to apply for the scholarship is 3rd June 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
The scholarship is for the students who will start their online part-time learning master programme offered by the University in session 2024-2025.
"only programmes of study that are at Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) Descriptor Level 11 are able to be considered for this scholarship. Some programmes of study may have 'Masters' in their title but are at SCQF Descriptor Level 12, for example, Master of Surgery (ChM), and are therefore not eligible for this scholarship," reads the official statement.

The list is based on the categories 'Least Developed Countries', 'Other Low-income Countries' and 'Lower Middle Income Countries' as stated by the Organisation for Economic Corporation and Development Assistance Committee. All applicants will be notified of the outcome by mid-July 2024.
To apply for the scholarship, the students must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh. It can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and for access to be granted.

The Online Learning Open Days are ideal for anyone considering online postgraduate programmes. They can find out about the more than 80 postgraduate degrees that they can study online.
"You will get the most out of this event by attending the live sessions, as you will have the chance to participate and ask questions. However, many of the sessions will also be recorded. If you register but can't make the live event, you will be sent a link to these recordings so you can watch them in your own time," says the official statement.
