University of Sheffield MEng Course Details

The course is a combination of essential theories of aerospace engineering with more intense hands-on intensive pilot training. This course is of longer period due to integrated masters.

In the duration of four years, students will study modules on instrumentation, computation, propulsion, and design of aerodynamics.

The students will get ground training for five hours of flight, and expand their experience due to the university’s tie-ups with various local flying schools.

“The course will teach how to manage a project from start to finish, and how to communicate with people from a wide range of engineering disciplines. In the final year, students will work on a research project led by one of the university's world leading academics,” added the official statement.

There is an option to add one more optional placement year to the course. It will help students to develop a range of transferable skills, and gain insight into possible careers, help them in adding valuable work experience, and build a professional network.
