University of Sheffield offers Computer Science Excellence Scholarship for International Students
The candidates need not apply separately for Computer Science Excellence Scholarships. The eligible students will automatically get the scholarship when they start their studies.
Study in UK: The University of Sheffield is offering up to £2,000 Computer Science Excellence Scholarship as a one-off payment. It will be awarded to international students who will commence an undergraduate degree at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Sheffield. The course will start in September 2024.
There is no separate application form for the Computer Science Excellence Scholarship, all eligible international students will receive it once they commence their course in September 2024.
Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility requirements for this scholarship:
- The students must have A-level grades of A*A*A, or equivalent, or above comprising an A* in Mathematics.
- They must be starting their undergraduate studies in September 2024 at the Department of Computer Science.
- Applicants must choose the University of Sheffield as their first choice in the UCAS application 2024.
- Should be an international student
- They must enrol for a full-time undergraduate programme in the Department of Computer Science
- Must take all required subjects for your selected degree.

The scholarship amount offered to the international student is dependent on academic achievement, and A levels qualifications. It can be A*A*A* - £2,000 including an A* in Mathematics or A*A*A - £1,000 including an A* in Mathematics, which the department will decide.
"Once in receipt of this scholarship, you will be awarded £1,000 each subsequent academic year subject to maintaining a 70% overall average mark in the previous academic year," reads the official statement.
Once the candidates are eligible, they get the scholarship in the form of a cash bursary at the beginning of the program.
How to apply for undergraduate programs at the University of Sheffield
The candidates must apply soon and should not wait for final exam results to come out or reference as the demand is too high. They should apply through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) application, which is applicable to take admissions in any undergraduate courses in the UK. The university does not have January or February intake, all the undergraduate program starts in September each year.
