University Of Sheffield UK Offers Engineering Excellence Scholarship 2025

Study in UK: It is for the outstanding international students who exceed the academic conditions of the standard UCAS offer.

Study Abroad: The University of Sheffield’s Faculty of Engineering has announced the Engineering Excellence Scholarship 2025 worth £3,000 to international fee-status students who are commencing their undergraduate degree in September 2025.

"The scholarship will be awarded to overseas fee status undergraduate students who exceed the academic conditions of our standard UCAS offer. Candidates who attain A level grades of A*AA or above (or the equivalent qualification in your country) will receive the Excellence Scholarship," reads the official statement.

Eligibility Criteria For Engineering Excellence Scholarship 2025

The following are the eligibility criteria:

• The applicants must make the University of Sheffield their first choice while filling out the UCAS application form for entry in 2025.
• They must be classed as an international student for tuition fee purposes.
• Should be an undergraduate student.
• They must be taking all prerequisite subjects for the selected degree.

Engineering Excellence Scholarship 2025: More Details

If the applicant is eligible, they will get the scholarship as a cash bursary at the beginning of the course. The Engineering Excellence Scholarship amount will depend on the student’s academic achievements. £3,000 for A*A*A*, £2,000 for A*A*A, and £1,000 for A*A A.

£1,000 will be granted to those students who along with meeting all the entry criteria, also achieved an overall 70% - 79.9%, £2,000 to those who achieved an overall 80% - 84.9%, and £3,000 to each applicant who scored more than 85%.

“Once in receipt of this scholarship, applicants will be awarded £1,000 each subsequent academic year subject to maintaining a 70% overall average mark in the previous academic year. Candidates will not have to apply for these scholarships, as they are automatically awarded to all eligible students when they commence their studies in the Department,” added the official statement.

Those who are taking the university's International College pathway program will not be eligible for the scholarship. This scholarship can be availed with other scholarships of the University of Sheffield however, the condition is the sum of the awards should not make the student fully funded for the tuition fees.
