University Of Strathclyde: Admissions Open For MSc Advanced Biochemistry
Students interested in studying in the UK can apply for the MSc Advanced Biochemistry course at the University of Strathclyde starting in September 2025.
Study in UK: The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow is currently accepting applications for the MSc Advanced Biochemistry course. The program is all set to start in September 2025. It is a 12-month duration course. According to Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024, the course has been ranked in top 5 for Biological Sciences.
The selected students will get to study at the leading centre for research Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences which focusses developing new and better medicines. The fees for international students applying for 2025/26 is £31,250.

The curriculum focuses on how at the molecular level, the cells work. The course combines related fields such as biochemistry and molecular biology to provide significant advances in understanding how molecular pathways lead to disease through alteration or disruption.
“The Masters in Advanced Biochemistry will provide students with comprehensive postgraduate life sciences training. Students will receive dedicated training in a broad range of practical laboratory skills,” added the official statement.
There are also classes to develop transferable skills of students including presentations, statistics, ethics, career development, the ability to design experiments and analyse sophisticated datasets, and science writing skills.
Eligibility Criteria For MSc Advanced Biochemistry
The following are the eligibility criteria for the course:
- Students should have a minimum second-class honours degree.
- They can also have an international equivalent in Chemical or Biological discipline.
- IELTS score should be a minimum of 6.0 with no component below 5.5
