University of Strathclyde, Glasgow invites applications for MSc Environmental Engineering course
Study in UK: The MSc Environmental Engineering course at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow will commence in January 2025.
The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow is currently accepting applications for its MSc Environmental Engineering course. The program is all set to commence in January 2025.
As per the university, the program is designed based on industry demands and meets the needs of environmental protection, land contamination management, urban regeneration, and infrastructure investment portfolios in Scotland and worldwide.
To be eligible for the program, the applicant must have a first-class or second-class honours degree (or international equivalent) in environmental management, earth sciences, engineering or a background in mathematical, biological, physical and chemical sciences. The fee of the course is £27,500 (full-time) for international students.
MSc Environmental Engineering Course: More Details
Topical nature is a distinctive feature of this course. Glasgow is undergoing urban regeneration which will let the students study challenging real-world issues. This will equip them to apply the principles in international and national contexts.
Students will have a range of optional classes and will undertake five core classes. Classes are usually for two hours per week over eight to 11 weeks.
After completing the taught component, the student will start a dissertation from June to August. In this, along with the topics that were proposed by the industrial partners and course leaders, the students can also propose relevant topics which will help them in their future careers.
Graduates of the MSc in Environmental Engineering will be able to join a large number of jobs around the world which includes engineering and environmental consultancies, local government, industry and international and national regulatory agencies.
Scholarship Options

The applicants can apply for Postgraduate 2024/25 Entry or Study in the largest Faculty of Engineering in Scotland.
For the Postgraduate 2024/25 Entry, the official statement reads, "Applicants for postgraduate taught degrees starting in the 2024/25 academic year will receive a scholarship award equivalent to a 15% reduction of fees, with a typical scholarship award of £4,240 deducted from fees."
The selected candidates will also have an option of Dean’s International Excellence Awards for the postgraduate taught applicants. It is limited in numbers and values between £5,000 and £8,000.
