University of Strathclyde Glasgow teams make it to Grand Finals of Sustainable Engineering Contest

Study in UK: Two teams of the University of Strathclyde Glasgow have made it to the Grand Finals of the Engineering for People Design Challenge, run by Engineers Without Borders UK. This year, the challenge community is set in the rural village Pu Ngaol in the forested hills of the Mondulkiri province in eastern Cambodia.

Around 11,000 university students took part in the Engineering for People Design Challenge, which aims to broaden awareness of the environmental, social and economic impacts of engineering. Through their studies, the teams have been exploring opportunities for developments in and around Pu Ngaol that will improve environmental systems and people’s livelihoods.
