University of Strathclyde UK invites applications for scholarships for courses to start in January 2025

Faculty of Engineering International Postgraduate Scholarships January 2025 at the University of Strathclyde UK is worth up to £4,240 and The Dean's Excellence awards worth up to £8000.

Study in UK: The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow is currently accepting applications for Faculty of Engineering International Postgraduate Scholarships January 2025 and Dean’s International Excellence Awards.

The university offers a number of scholarships for its Faculty of Engineering International Postgraduate Scholarships. The scholarship is for international students with strong academic qualifications. They must be self-funded and hold a full-time postgraduate taught degree course offer for the program starting in January 2025. The last date to apply for such a postgraduate taught course for the January session is January 10, 2025.

"All self-funded, international (non-EU) fee-paying offer holders with strong academic qualifications are encouraged to apply. Please note - applicants must hold an offer to a full-time postgraduate taught degree course starting in January 2025 before their scholarship application will be considered. If applying for a postgraduate research course applicants must start during the 2024/25 academic year. The deadline for applicants applying to study a postgraduate taught course in January 2025 is 10th January 2025," reads the official notification.

Under Faculty of Engineering International Postgraduate Scholarships January 2025, the students will get a scholarship award equivalent to a 15% reduction of their fees, which is around £4,240.

Those international students who are applying for a postgraduate research degree course can apply for the scholarships year-round and they will get a scholarship award equivalent to a 15% decrease in their annual fees. Those who enrol in a two-year MSc course will get a 15% scholarship in their first year of study only. For different courses, there are different amount of tuition fees including that for Architecture & Biomedical Engineering. The duration of this scholarship also varies.

Eligibility: To be considered for this scholarship, the applicants should have 2:1 (or equivalent) in their undergraduate degree.

Faculty of Engineering International Postgraduate Scholarships January 2025 is applicable for these subjects - Prosthetics & orthotics, Renewable energy, Engineering, Marine Engineering, Aeronautical engineering, Civil engineering, Environmental engineering, Mechanical & aerospace engineering, Naval architecture ocean & marine engineering, Design manufacture & engineering management, Electronic & electrical engineering, Architecture, Biomedical engineering, Chemical engineering, and Civil & environmental engineering.

Dean's International Excellence Awards Details

This scholarship is worth up to £8,000 and it is limited in number. This is given for the postgraduate taught courses. The applicants need to submit one application only and they will be considered for all scholarships for the postgraduate taught level courses.

This is also for students with excellent academic records and the potential to make a significant contribution to the university while pursuing their courses. The last date to apply for the Dean’s International Excellence Awards is November 22, 2024. This scholarship again offers a 15% reduction in the first year of study which is nearly £4,240.
