Wrexham University Teaching ranked high in Wales: National Student Survey
The overall satisfaction score of the university is 84%, a 3% increase as compared to last year's 81%.
Wrexham University in UK is delighted to rank high in Wales in the Teaching category of the National Student Survey. This is a large-scale survey, in which 5.3 million students across the UK participated to give real pictures of the institutes about which areas they are doing good and where they need to improve.
It is an extremely useful survey through which aspiring students can make a decision on which universities and colleges to choose from the options available. The students can view the other student's thoughts on the chosen course and institute through a platform called Discover Uni.
Professor Maria Hinfelaar, Vice-Chancellor at Wrexham University, said, “We are extremely pleased that our students have rated us so highly in this year’s National Student Survey. We strongly value their feedback as it provides us with vital insights as to how we can continue to improve."
“We are thrilled to have been ranked top out of Welsh universities for teaching, as well as assessment and feedback and joint first out of Welsh universities for Students’ Union – which is how our students rate how well our Students’ Union represents their academic interests," added Professor Maria Hinfelaar.
“It’s also fantastic that Adult Nursing was ranked top in the UK for teaching; learning opportunities; assessment and feedback; and organisation and management. While, Criminology and Criminal Justice was placed first in the UK for teaching, as well as joint first for academic support. These results are excellent – and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the staff for their hard work as well as our Students’ Union. A big thank you to our students, who took the time to feedback on their experience with us," she said.
“We’re now in the period of clearing and we’re pleased to report that our applications are up for the next academic year – both compared to our own this time last year and against the sector," she added.
