Established in 1925, Cracow University is an open institution that is considered among the five polish open economics universities. Earlier, it was known as the College of Commerce. In 2007, it was renamed to its present name. The university is associated with the European University Association and the Erasmus Programme. It is known to be the third biggest university in Poland. The university is a part of several international organizations such as European Business Consortium, International Education Knowledge Network, Danube Rectors' Conference and SOCRATES-ERASMUS. The university is well-known to have conducted a number of scientific research and theories.
The university campus is spread across an area of 17 acres. The students are provided with all the facilities required at the campus. They experience a calm learning environment at the campus. The campus comprises four faculties, namely the Faculty of Economics & International Business, Faculty of Finance, Faculty of Commodity Science and Faculty of Management. Moreover, the campus is set nearby many restaurants and cafes. A few general stores and medical shops are located close to the campus.
The total strength of the university is about 20,000. The university offers 38 specialization courses, MBA programs, and Ph.D. level programs. The faculty members are experienced. The university is often visited by some industry professionals for guest lectures, practical workshops, and interactive sessions. The academic structure of the university includes various subjects such as management, economics, marketing communications, international business, finance & accounting, and tourism. The students also get an opportunity to visit the industries to understand the fieldwork. They get to work as interns at renowned organizations under professionals. The students can also participate in the student exchange programs which give them a wide scope to visit the international universities and learn a different course structure under professional guidance.
