The University of Texas (UT) system was established in 1876, with the main campus located in Austin. The medical branch was initially located in Galveston. Over time, the UT system has expanded to include multiple campuses across Texas, including Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, and the Permian Basin in 1969. How to Apply at University of Texas?

Applicants applying for admission to the University of Texas can apply through the Common App for undergraduates and the Graduate Admissions Portal for postgraduate admissions. The steps are common for applying:

• Log on to the respective admission portals and sign up.
• Log in to the [ortal with the credentials created and begin filling the form.
• Submit essays and short answers.
• Also, submit high school transcripts (along with a bachelor’s degree for PG admissions)
• Applicants applying for Spring 2025 have optional SAT or ACT submissions. After this, the test submissions would be mandatory.
• GRE or GMAT are mandatory for admissions to postgraduate programs across UT campuses.
• TOEFL or IELTS is also required for English language proficiency.

• For undergraduates, an application fee of USD 90 is charged, whereas for postgraduate admissions, the fees varies.
