First known as The California State Colleges, it became The California State University and Colleges in 1972. By 1982, it had adopted its current name. International applicants planning to apply for either undergraduate or postgraduate courses at any of the California State University will have to:

  • Sign up on the Cal State Apply portal.
  • Log in to the Cal State Apply portal and complete the admission application.
  • Upload necessary documents depending on the course of study program in the materials section on the application.
  • Submit IELTS or TOEFL scores for English language proficiency proof.
