MS in Business Analytics - Batch of 2024
3.6
A bit expensive but worth it.
Tips: Northeastern has a lot of Indian and Chinese students in their master courses. The university has some or other events going on every day. Finding a part-time on campus is a bit tough due to the high competition. Boston has a lot of students and overall is a good city but everything here is on the expensive side.
Likes (Safety): The campus has its own police force and a committee called OSSCR that looks into the safety of the students. Also, there is a transportation service that Northeastern provides for students living in the radius of 2 miles from 5 pm to 6 am in the morning which is a safe way to travel home during the night times.
Dislikes (Post study jobs): It is a tough job market and finding a company that will sponsor my visa is quite challenging. I have applied to several companies and have gotten no response as of now but I do see a lot of openings in my field so it shouldn't be something impossible, just time-consuming.

MS in Business Analytics - Batch of 2023

Come with an open mind and explore.
Tips: Students should try applying in the first cycle of admission to get a good chance at getting a scholarship. Northeastern has a strong presence of the Indian community so the environment feels inclusive with different events happening throughout the year. Overall, I am satisfied with my course as it exposed me to the technical skills required. One can also make use of Northeastern’s career design tool to develop additional skills. Joining student organisations, attending cultural events, and exploring the city will help with the transition. Be open to new experiences, and embrace cultural diversities.

Master of Science in Project Management - Batch of 2024

University is at a good location. Lots of students and less on campus opportunities.
Tips: Coming to Northeastern, I realised making connections from the start is important to get a job or to know about work-related things. Here I saw less diversity majorly graduate courses have Indians. Northeastern does not provide scholarships. I have not experienced a big cultural shift coming here as majorly my course has Indians. I liked the location of the university. It’s very convenient for commuting. The campus is also good, with recreational activities and few clubs.
Likes (Public transportation): The university is well connected with the city transportation. Like green line or orange line bus routes, all are connected and students find it easy to commute. Whereas I believe it is not that affordable. As a student, it is not that affordable always paying 2.45 and 1.75$.
Dislikes (Part time work): I feel Northeastern is a very competitive university with a lot of students and fewer opportunities for on-campus jobs. Students are not getting single on-campus job throughout their master's. The on-campus job pay is also minimum while other universities have more pay for the on-campus jobs. I feel studying and part-time is manageable. Not every course has a workload and if you try to keep a schedule you can manage both things.

MS in Finance - Batch of 2024

Good course work and learnings.
Tips: Boston offers vocational advantages to a lot of job seekers, depending on the job profile and role. Northeastern University has a really good course work and provides experiential learning in the form of 360 huntington found which is a $1.5 M found managed by students. It is a plus point to students coming for MS in Finance. The market is pretty dried up right now for everyone so I can't really comment on post-study work opportunities but I am optimistic about market conditions.

MS in Management (MS x) - Batch of 2023

Try to come here with an open mind.
Tips: Just unlearn everything you know. The way of teaching and thinking about anything, just come with an open mind. Things can get stressful but you will get through it with time. If you have a good resume with diverse extracurriculars you can get a scholarship, the amount is decided by the school.

No help from university in finding work.
Tips: Less help is available in finding job opportunities. Otherwise, college is easygoing and academically sound. Food and accommodation options are easily available. Scholarships are available. Work options are abundant in the US. A cultural shift was there but it was gradual. Need the person to be adaptable to circumstances.
Likes (Student Life): Ample events and club activities to keep the students busy. Great platform to interact with other students. The college has ample buildings and sitting space to study and work. Student life comprises religious event celebrations, functions, and events on different occasions. Also, a lot of times free food is distributed in the college.
Dislikes (Internships): Not much help provided by university. Seminars on elevator pitch, resume and cover letter building are available. But not many job openings are posted on the internal website. There is a lack of help from the college to get the students placed either for internships or final placements.
