The PGDM course at IMI Delhi is of two years duration. IMI follows a trimester system and each course consists of six trimesters. Each trimester is of 11-12 weeks duration. The academic calendar begins early July. Apart from the six trimesters students are required to undergo a compulsory Summer Internship Programme (SIP) at the end of the first year. The application form is available in the official website. Interested candidates required to fill the form and require to pay of INR 2,596 (2,200 + GST @18%). Candidate can pay the fee through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking/Payment Gateway. However, incomplete application form will be rejected. Apart from this, the institute reserves the right to close the window for receipt of applications earlier than the deadline depending upon the responses received for its multiple cycles of selection.

• A pass in three-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate or equivalent in any discipline, including Engineering, Humanities, Commerce, Economics, Medicine or any other branch of education is required to apply for the PGDM course.
• Candidates appearing in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or equivalent can also apply provided they furnish proof of meeting the minimum eligibility by September 30 of the admission year.
• An applicant may be a graduate without any work experience or with relevant work experience from any discipline of education.

• A pass in a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline as recognised by AIU with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA is required to apply for EPGDM course.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline as recognised by their respective resident countries' appropriate agencies with a minimum 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA in the course can also apply.
• A minimum of three years of post-qualification experience as an executive or a self-employed professional is also required.

The two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is the flagship programme of IMI New Delhi. PGDM is offered in three specialisations at IMI Delhi.

IMI Delhi admission to EPGDM course is based on CAT, GMAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT or XAT score. Candidates who have not qualified or did not appear for any of the accepted Management entrance exam can appear for IMI Admission Test but they have to necessarily clear one of the abovementioned tests within six months of joining the programme. The shortlisted aspirants are further called for an interview round. Such interviews would be conducted in the institute’s campus in New Delhi (India) and a handful of other Indian cities such as Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, etc. The institute also considers the past academic performance of the candidates to grant admission to IMI Delhi. Admission offers will be made based on the assessment carried out during the selection process.

At IMI New Delhi students can pursue PGDM programme across two major specialisations i.e., HRM and Banking & Financial Service. In tandem with AICTE norms, the programme would be of 90 credit points (with 1 credit point being equivalent to 10 hours of classroom learning), with 84 credit points accruing from classroom learning and the remainder six credit points earned through project work.
