Parala Maharaja Engineering College for M.E course information about placements, facilities, etc.
Placements: Our college provides the best opportunities for students. Every year about 40-50% of students get placed in the campus selection. The salary package offered ranges from 3-7 LPA. Companies like TCS, Accenture, Khar Technologies, etc., visit our college to provide internships.
Infrastructure: Our college provides the same facilities for the department and hostel. It provides the best quality of facilities like classrooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, drinking water, canteen, study table, etc. In this college, canteen food is very tasty and delicious. Sports committee of the college organises sports tournaments.
Faculty: Our college teachers are very good and very helpful. They are very knowledgeable and PhD holders. In this course, every year a total of 80% of students pass the exams. Exams are very difficult because they do not include practical marks.

College Review of PARALA MAHARAJA ENGINEERING COLLEGE.
Placements: Parala Maharaja Engineering College, Berhampur has a dedicated Training and Placement cell to assist students in internship and job placements. This year till now the recruitment companies are providing an average package of Rs 3.5-5 LPA. The training and placement cell helps students connect with companies offering internships. PSUs like NTPC, NALCO, OHPC, and DRDO are providing internship opportunities for the students.
Infrastructure: Campus life is very good in this college. The campus is full of greenery. The garden is very beautiful and well-maintained. There is one 4-storey central library present inside the campus which is inaugurated this year, all types of books are available in the central library. There is one reference room inside the college's main building where you will get a PC and internet service to study.
Faculty: The course curriculum is very good but syllabus completion is the biggest cons of this institute and the only reason behind this is BPUT, Rourkela. Who controls this college along with many other colleges like IGIT Sarang, GCE Keonjhar, GCE Kalahandi, etc? There is mostly theoretical knowledge rather than practical knowledge. The teaching methods of the teachers are very nice many of the teachers also give questions from previous year's GATE papers and encourage us to prepare for exams like GATE, UPSC, ESE, and many more.
Other: Parala Maharaja Engineering College (P.M.E.C), Berhampur came into existence in the year 2009 on April 26th, as a constituent Government Engineering College of Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha, India with an area of nearly 80 acres. Now this college facts as a Government Autonomous college affiliated with BPUT, Odisha from the year 2021. This college is one of the premier technical institutes in the state and is funded by the Government of Odisha. It has 8 B.Tech programmes and 5 M.Tech programmes with 10 departments.

The placement scenario is pretty bad and only good college for those who want to study further .
Placements: The placement condition in my college is very bad. Every student is trying very hard to get placed, but due to a lack of opportunities, it has become very difficult for each one of us. Even after being one of the best students, I am here going for off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The lab and infrastructure of our college are good; they are good enough for the students. The lab is also up to the mark, making it good enough for students, though it needs to be made better since the technology there isn't up to the mark and needs to be enhanced.
Faculty: The teachers in our college are a mixed batch of faculty. Some of them are really helpful and help you in working better, whereas there are some teachers who don't like you much and will try to put you down. Also, the curriculum is never finished and is very outdated and needs to be renewed.
Other: The college is a good college if you know you can crack off-campus placements; go for it. But since it is mostly in the interior part of Odisha, with fewer facilities, do not opt for it.

"PMEC: Nurturing Future Engineers Through Innovation and Excellence.
Placements: The college has a placement cell that organizes programs and seminars to prepare students for placement. Companies like Tata, Tisco, TCS, Nalco, Mahindra, Wipro, and Infosys come to our college to offer placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: This college is located in the Sitalapali area. The campus is spread out over a large area, about 80 acres. The classrooms have a seating capacity of 200 students. The college has its own central library, two workshops, and labs for every subject. There is a canteen and a utility block where you can buy everything you need for school and personal use. The college has two sports grounds, one for kabadi, kho-kho, volleyball, and cricket, and the other for the NCC shooting range.
Faculty: There are more than enough faculty members in every branch, especially in civil. The teachers are good and they teach very well. The semester exams are moderately easy to pass.
Other: The college is a crowded place with approximately 2 to 2.5 thousand students. There are various clubs like Cadence for song and dance, Robotics for designing, Sanskruti for classical art, Abhyudaya for anchors, Kalakar for acting, start-up club, ED cell, and others. There are so many extracurricular activities like nukkad natak, college fest, sports events like Arena and Shourya, and each and every festival is celebrated.

Parala Maharaja Engineering College at its best view.
Placements: The placement is very poor in our college, and in the ETC branch, very few students got placed. Furthermore, the salaries for these placements are too low. The highest package was 3.5 LPA, while the lowest was 1.5 LPA. Students were mostly placed in teaching roles. Companies like Tata Power, Mahindra Satyam, and Wipro visited our college.
Infrastructure: Our department has good and high-tech labs, but they are only for show and not meant for student use. Students are not allowed to enter these labs. The classrooms are also good considering the conditions. The hostel is old and has poor infrastructure. Worst of all, the food is tasteless and unhygienic.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and helpful. However, some faculty members are poorly mannered and behave rudely with students. The current course does not adequately prepare students for industry roles, and students are required to take extra courses during their final year to be eligible for placement drives. The semesters are quite difficult to pass for the ETC branch, and the course itself is challenging and demanding.
Other: This is a government college that provides vast exposure to different fields, which is why I chose this course. The courses provide a good basic understanding, but they need to be updated by BPUT. Our college organizes an annual tech fest every year, and various clubs also operate on campus.

It has average placements, faculty members, and value for money.
Placements: Placements are below average. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA and the highest package offered is 10 LPA. The maximum placement rate is about 40-50% on campus. But if tried out of campus then it is better to get more salary package in placements. Some famous companies like TPSODL, Infosys, Mahindra, etc., visit the college for placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. All facilities are provided by the college to students like playground, library, canteen, hostel, digital screens classroom and well facility labs for students. The college contains some cultural clubs for cultural events like dance, music, etc.
Faculty: All faculty members in our college are average. The course curriculum is relevant. The pass percentage is 40%. The question paper is made by Biju Patnaik University of Technology. The time of lecture is approximately 1 hour and semester exams in the college are not much difficult.
Other: It is an average value for money.

Yes, there is a chance that you can get admission in CSE branch in PMEC. 83 is a good percentile. Usually cut off is around 75-80 percentile. And if not CSE branch than you can definitely get other branches.

You must increase your JEE Mains percentage because 78 percentile is not sufficient to get CSE branch. So, You have to increase your percentage and 12th marks are not considered.
