500+ NPTEL Online Courses Open for Enrollment

Over 500 NPTEL online certification courses are now open for enrollment for students and professionals across India for the July to Dec 2021 semester. 

NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning), a SWAYAM national coordinator and a joint initiative of IITs and IISc, has opened enrollment for over 500 online certification courses. The last date to enroll for the first set of 445 NPTEL online courses is August 02, 2021, while the enrollment window for the remaining courses will close on August 23, 2021. Students and working professionals can apply for these NPTEL online courses through NPTEL’s official website or the Swayam portal. 

NPTEL – Platform Overview

The NPTEL is a joint initiative of seven IITs along with the IISc, to offer quality education to those interested in learning from the IITs. NPTEL courses are offered through the Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) format. NPTEL courses enable students to engage and learn directly from the best faculty of the country in that particular subject. The quality of NPTEL online courses is excellent and helps students create a solid knowledge and understanding of the subject. 

Enrollment for July to Dec 2021 Semester

There are 4 weeks, 8 weeks set 1 and 2 as well as 12 weeks courses. You can enroll in these courses for free. You will need to pay a nominal fee for the certification exam (Rs.1,000 for each exam).

You can write up to a maximum of six exams. Two exams on each day – Sep 26th and Oct 23rd and 24th, 2021.

Domain Certification

NPTEL started offering course-level certificates in 2014. Now, it has started providing Domain Certifications to those students who have been doing multiple courses from NPTEL. Domains are available in multiple disciplines and consist of Core courses and Elective courses. Domain certifications are helpful for those who wish to become job-ready or specialize in an area of study. As of July 2021, NPTEL has 51 domains across 12 disciplines. 

NPTEL Stars

NPTEL Stars is an initiative to recognize the efforts of those learners who keep coming back repeatedly to NPTEL courses and completing exams. Learners can take up more than one-course exam in NPTEL. NPTEL has identified 7 categories into which these Stars can be classified:
