- Breadth of undergraduate courses in counselling, educational psychology or psychology. Particular emphasis is paid to courses in human development, personality, psychology of learning, and counselling skills.
- Hold a baccalaureate degree (i.e. undergraduate degree) from a recognized degree-granting institution, in the discipline of interest or in a closely cognate discipline.
- Approximately two years of successful teaching experience and/or counselling experience. Volunteer experience in counselling is also desirable.
- Minimum 75% in the terms containing the last 20 graded university courses (60.0 credit hours).
- Four-year Bachelor’s degree or a three-year Bachelor’s degree plus a Master’s degree with a minimum of First Class/Division1 standing, or 4/5
