How to Convert GPA in Percentage - Different GPA Scales

The GPA is marked on scales of 4.0, 5.0 and even 10.0, and each of them will impact the formula and calculation of percentage. We have given how to find percentage from GPA based on different scales of GPA:

4.0 GPA to Percentage Formula

If GPA on a 4.0 point scale is 3.5, the percentage will be calculated like this:

4.0 GPA into Percentage Formula: GPA = (%/100) x 4

% = 3.5/4 x 100

% = 87.5%

So, the percentage mark is 87.5% for the applicant with a 3.5 GPA. Based on the above steps, 3.50 GPA in percentage conversion is simple. Calculating Indian percentage to US GPA converter is hence easy. Indian applicants can use the above formula or use the manual GPA calculator for the same.

Refer to the table below for the conversion of GPA to percentage, and vice versa:

Letter Grade Percentage Range 4.0 Scale

A+

97 - 100 4.0

A

93 - 96 4.0
A- 90 - 92 3.7
B+ 87 - 89 3.3
B 83 - 86 3.0
B- 80 - 82 2.7
C+ 77 - 79 2.3
C 73 - 76 2.0
C- 70 - 72 1.7
D+ 67 - 69 1.3
D 65 - 66 1.0

E/F

Ideally, this is how GPA in Percentage is computed. In some cases, applicants may have received grades, which can be collated with a GPA scale or percentage based on the above-given data.

Convert Percentage from GPA Scale of 5.0

Though uncommonly used, GPA on a 5,0 point scale is also used. The formula is as follows:

5.0 Point Scale GPA in Percentage Formula: GPA = (%/100) x 5

GPA of 5.0 to percentage is between 93-100%, and a GPA of 4.7 is 90-92%. Letter grades range from A+ (5.0) to F (0.0).

Calculate Percentage from GPA Scale of 10.0

Common in India and Europe, each point equals 10% (100/10). Check out the formula below:

10.0 Point Scale GPA into Percentage Formula: GPA = (%/100) x 10

Example: A GPA of 6.5 equals 65%.

Calculating Indian percentage to US GPA converter is hence easy. Indian applicants can use the above formula or use the manual GPA calculator for the same.

Hello Megha. Your average percentage of 10 semesters and your percentage of each semester over the five-year period would be the same. Percentages over the 5-year period would be taken into consideration.
