Converting CGPA to GPA directly isn't always accurate because universities use different GPA scales. Generally, universities use a 4-point GPA scale. Also, the way grades are assigned to a student can vary significantly. To convert your CGPA score to GPA marks, you should have all the required information such as the maximum GPA of your university, and your total CGPA score.

10 Point CGPA to 4 Point GPA Formula
GPA  = (CGPA / Maximum CGPA) * Target GPA scale

For Example: Your CGPA score is 9.5 and you need to convert this into GPA form. (Consider, GPA is 4.0 in your university)

According to CGPA to GPA formula: (9.5/10)*4.0 = 3.8

Another Formula to convert 10-point CGPA to 4-point GPA is: GPA= CGPA/2.5

For Example: If your CGPA is 9.5 on a 10 scale, your GPA would be: GPA = 9.5/2.5 = 3.8

However, this is not the official formula to calculate your score from CGPA to GPA, but this will give you a rough idea about your score. It is suggested to check with your university about GPA scale points.

What is GPA?

The full form of GPA is Grade Point Average, and GPA grades reflect the student’s performance over a particular semester or term. How to Convert CGPA to Percentage?

A lot of times students might be required to provide their CGPA scores in the percentage format to the university as part of their admission process. Here candidates looking to convert CGPA to percentage need to simply multiply the entire CGPA by 9.5 to get a percentage. For example, if a candidate has a CGPA score of 8.0, then the CGPA TO percentage conversion of this would be 8*9.5 equals 76%.
