British Academy invites applications for Visiting Fellowships 2025

British Academy is currently accepting applications for Visiting Fellowships 2025. The last date to apply for the fellowship is October 23, 2024.

Study in UK: The British Academy has invited applications from academics from any country for Visiting Fellowships 2025. It will give them the opportunity to research with UK colleagues while developing collaborative projects. The fellowship duration is up to six months.

Department for Science, Innovation and Technology is funding the Visiting Fellowships 2025. Academics at any career stage can send the applications. They can be from any discipline related to humanities and social sciences.

The maximum funding will be £40,000. British Academy asks applicants about their choice of start date for their fellowship which can be either in spring or summer.

Visiting Fellowships 2025: Eligibility Requirements

The following are the eligibility requirements:

  • Applicant should be an international candidate, that is at the time of application, he/she should be based outside of the UK.
  • They can be on fixed-term or permanent contracts.

"The British Academy welcomes applications from a diverse range of UK host institutions, and would particularly encourage applications from historically and/or structurally disadvantaged groups, low-income countries, and female researchers," said the official statement.








The suitable candidates are researchers in any discipline, who are actively involved in research, and can be early-career scholars, established academics and mid-career researchers. The academy has not set any types of output which the fellows should produce as output.







British Academy awards 12 International Fellowships

The academy has announced more than £2.8 million in funding for researchers. It is announced for 12 outstanding SHAPE early career researchers to help them conduct their research in UK.

"The two-year Fellowships provide early career researchers with the opportunity to acquire and transfer new skills and knowledge, and to encourage long-term relationships through networking opportunities and the International Fellowships alumni programme," reads the British Academy statement.

The awardees names are - Dr Danilo Barauna, Dr Maria Copot, Dr Metin Koca, Dr Julieta Lobato, Dr Valeria Mantilla Morales, Dr Lucas McMahon, Dr Similo Ngwenya, Dr Babatunde Obamamoye, Dr Jerónimo Rilla, Dr Noah Stemeroff, Dr Roxanne Tsang, and Dr Magdalena Zegarra Chiappori.
