Study Abroad: Nam Can Tho University, Vietnam has inked an MoU with Dyal Singh Evening College, University of Delhi. The idea is to promote cultural and educational exchanges.

To boost the educational ties between Vietnam and India, a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked between Nam Can Tho University, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Dyal Singh Evening College, University of Delhi.

The MoU was signed during the Namaste Vietnam Festival which is dedicated to improving the educational and cultural ties between the two countries. It was inked by Dr Tran Thi Thu, Vice Rector of Nam Can Tho University and Prof. Bhawna Pandey, Principal of Dyal Singh Evening College.

While speaking on the agreement, Prof. Bhawna Pandey, Principal of Dyal Singh Evening College, said “We are thrilled to embark on this academic journey with Nam Can Tho University, Vietnam. This MoU represents a significant step towards fostering global partnerships and creating opportunities for our students and faculty to engage in cross-cultural exchange and collaborative research. We look forward to exploring new horizons in education and research together, and to contributing to the growing ties between India and Vietnam.”

Nam Can Tho University, DU Collaboration Details

The festival featured a total of 28 Indian and 17 Vietnam universities. The collaboration is significant for Dyal Singh Evening College as it is the only DU college to sign such an agreement at the festival. With the signing of this agreement, DU is seeking to attract more students from Vietnam to India.








Under the agreement, both the country will promote research and academics in business, economics, and information technology including developing and exchanging curriculum, educational resources and best practices. The agreement also expects academic publications, joint research initiatives and technology transfer.







Dr. Madan Mohan Sethi, Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City also talked about the agreement and highlighted that such alliances are significant as around 2 lakh students from Vietnam study abroad every year. The DU also intends to offer enriching and diverse educational experiences, offering mutual growth, and fostering academic exchange and cultural immersion.
