Saint Mary's University Canada: Apply for undergraduate courses by July 4
Admissions are open for undergraduate courses at Saint Mary's University Canada. International students including Indians can apply by July 4. On January 22, 2024, the Canadian government proposed changes to the study permit application process for new international students.
Indian study-abroad aspirants looking to pursue undergraduate studies in Canada can apply to the UG courses at Saint Mary's University. The last date to apply for the September 2024 intake is July 4, 2024. The application fee is $50 (CAD) credit card only, and the procession time is 2 to 3 weeks.
Eligibility requirements are based on the curriculum, for CBSE, students can apply for admission with second-division results and higher in Class X and XI mark sheets and predicted Class XII results (if available). For the Bachelor of Arts, the subjects required are English XII and four other academic XII subjects, for Bachelor of Commerce - English XII, Mathematics X and three other academic XII subjects, for the Bachelor of Science, English XII, Mathematics XII, one science of XII Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Computer Programming, two other academic XII subjects, and BSc Access available for the non-math medical stream. For Diploma in Engineering -English XII, Mathematics XII, Chemistry XII, one academic 12 science course (Physics XII recommended), one other academic XII subject, and a Test of English may be required.
Language Requirements
If you have not attended an English language secondary school or do not have a previous degree completed totally in English, you may need to provide your scores from an English language proficiency test, said the university.
Below are the valid tests:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Note: 0958 is the appropriate TOEFL code for Saint Mary's University
- - minimum 550 on paper-based
- - minimum iBT 80, with no band below 20
- Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL) – minimum 60 with no individual band below 50
- Pearson PTE score of 58
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – minimum 6.5 with no individual score below 6.0
- Cambridge B2 First, C1 Advanced and C2 Proficiency – minimum 176 with no individual score below 169
- CanTEST – minimum 4.5 with no individual score below 4.0
