Study Abroad: Apply For Post Doctoral Fellowships In France
The focus of the fellowship will be on interdisciplinary projects and all disciplines and themes are covered. The last date to apply for the fellowship is March 17, 2025.
Study in France: IdEx Université Côte d'Azur has announced the 2025 Young Researcher Excellence Fellowships campaign for hiring young researchers at the post-doctoral level in its laboratories for a 24-month period.
There are 12 funded contracts. To apply for these, the applicants need to first contact a Université Côte d'Azur laboratory or research group.
The scholarship will start no later than February 1, 2026. All applicants will be informed of the results at the end of May 2025.
"Together, the candidate and supervisor will draw up an original research program, which will be submitted via our dedicated Nuxéo platform. Winners are explicitly and contractually required to apply for a permanent position (such as permanent researcher - Chargé de Recherche) at Université Côte d'Azur or one of its partner institutions, or to submit an ERC grant application," reads the official notification.
Eligibility Criteria For Post Doctoral Fellowships In France
The following are the eligibility requirements:
- The applicants should have a university doctorate/PhD.
- The thesis must have been defended after March 17, 2021, and not more than four years before the application deadline.
Benefits Of Post Doctoral Fellowships In France
The following salary and benefits will be provided to the fellows:
- The fellows will get a 24-month fixed-term contract and a salary of 3,520 euros gross.
- For the duration of the project, the fellows will also be provided with an operating budget of 5,000 euros.
- They will get temporary accommodation at the Université Côte d'Azur Faculty Club. For the accommodation, they need to pay the rent for one month.
- The university's Welcome Center will offer advice, information and personalized assistance to laureates.
Post Doctoral Fellowships In France: Selection Criteria
The selection will be based on the following:
- The quality of the CV. It highlights the track record, diplomas, credibility of career plan and publications.
- The scientific quality of the project presented. It includes its originality, the importance of the question, and technical feasibility.
- Supervisor's CV quality including scientific and technical environment and publications and quality of host laboratory.
- Suitability of research project with the host laboratory.
