Study in Canada: Apply Now for Cape Breton University Entrance Scholarships!
Those who are interested in studying in Canada can apply for Cape Breton University Entrance Scholarships which the university offers to students every year.
Cape Breton University Entrance Scholarships are available to both the Canadian and international students. To be considered for this scholarship, the candidates need to submit an official transcript along with the application form and also a financial need application if interested in bursaries.
Major Entrance Scholarships include the Chancellor’s Scholarship which offers a total of $30,000 amount, President’s - $20,000, Deans' - $10,000, Fitzgerald - $20,000, Schwartz - $14,000, and W.M. Reid - $11,500. There are many other scholarships available at the university.
"Through the generous contributions of donors, $2.6 million in scholarships and bursaries are offered to students entering CBU each year. Students entering directly from high school are considered for entrance scholarships based on their academic grades," says the official statement.
Cape Breton University Entrance Scholarships: Details
The university offers Academic In-Course Scholarships after the Winter and Fall semester. To be eligible, the students must have completed a minimum of 9 credits with a minimum of 80% during the Winter or Fall semester, and must not have received the renewable scholarship.
"The scholarship’s value is based on the number of credits eligible students are registered in during the semester the award is received. Scholarships will be applied directly to eligible students’ accounts in the following Fall or Winter semester (approximately two weeks after the Add/Drop deadline in September and January, respectively), provided students are registered in a minimum of 9 credits in the semester they receive the award. Eligible students registered in 15 credits will receive $500. Eligible students registered in 12 credits will receive $400. Eligible students registered in 9 credits will receive $300. Academic In-Course Scholarships are not awarded during the Spring/Summer semester or for courses taken during the Spring/Summer semester (except for students registered in the Bachelor of Science Nursing in terms 5, 6 and 8)," added the official statement.
To get the Bursaries, the student should be registered with Cape Breton University, provide income tax assessments of themselves and their parents, and complete either the In-Course Bursary Form or Entrance Bursary Form.
