MSc in International Business - Batch of 2024

The university has an amazing campus and well-trained faculties.
Tips: When you're looking for scholarships, it's important to look at the job market in the field you're interested in. If you can get a university-sponsored internship, that would be a great opportunity to gain experience and get paid. Birmingham is a city with multiple universities and a big crowd of students, so it can be difficult to find part-time work, on or off campus. However, if you do land a part-time job, the pay is the minimum wage, which is not bad. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my experiences here.

The faculty is very friendly and the classes are very interactive and engaging.
Tips: I have grown as a person, become more independent, and more mature since entering university. There were some cultural shocks and differences, but mostly how kind and accepting most people were. That feels like the norm now. I did not receive any scholarships, but I am very satisfied with my university experience.
Likes (Safety): I have a very active social life at the University of Birmingham. I spend my time studying, attending class, and working out at the gym. If I have any energy left, I like to go out with friends. There are many social events on campus that I can attend. The student body is very diverse, and everyone is kind and accepting of everyone else. The staff is very helpful and always there to support and talk to new students.
Dislikes (Student Life): The staff at the University of Birmingham are very kind and helpful. The university is incredibly inclusive and diverse, and the staff is very attentive to everyone's problems. The faculty does its best to offer fruitful solutions and help students and staff in the best way they can. The staff is very diverse and well spread out.

Public Health MPH - Batch of 2024
Offered by University of Birmingham
2.7
It provides a solid foundation for public health career.
Tips: Transitioning to the University of Birmingham was both exciting and challenging. The cultural shift was significant, especially coming from a different country. I had to adapt to new social norms, academic expectations, and even the weather. However, the university's welcoming environment and diverse student body made the transition smoother. Engaging in various student activities and societies helped me acclimate and make new friends. I did avail myself of a scholarship. I applied for the University's International Scholarship programme, which required submitting an application form, academic transcripts, and a personal statement. The MPH course was rigorous and well-structured, offering a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The faculty were supportive and always available for guidance. Living in the UK has been a rewarding experience, with its rich history, diverse culture, and numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth. I feel well-prepared for my future career in public health and grateful for the experiences and education I received. Overall, I am highly satisfied with my experience at the University of Birmingham.

BSc Biological Sciences - Batch of 2026
Offered by University of Birmingham
4.1
University of Birmingham is a great all-rounded university.
Tips: Coming to study at the University of Birmingham is a good place to get accustomed to changes in your lifestyle. The university is very welcoming, and there are quite a few scholarships that you can apply for on a merit basis. I have not applied for Permanent Settlement in the country, but I would consider staying here if I could. The University makes you aware of many opportunities that could help you transition into settling down here. Overall, I am very satisfied with the University.
Likes (Part time work): The University of Birmingham provides several opportunities for part-time and casual work. You can manage both academics and part-time work, but off-campus opportunities may require more time and effort. You get paid on an hourly basis, at an average rate of 11 per hour.

Public Health MPH - Batch of 2024
Offered by University of Birmingham
2.9
An academic oriented university with engaging workshops and career fair going around the year.
Tips: Before joining the University of Birmingham, students should know its emphasis on research-led teaching, diversity, and active campus life. Be prepared for independent learning and take advantage of Birmingham's professional opportunities and vibrant city life for holistic growth.
Likes (Public transportation): Birmingham is the second largest city in the UK. The city council gives 100 percent in maintaining the transportation facilities. We have a university station stop which is loaded on the campus which makes it easier to connect from different parts of Birmingham as well as other cities.
Dislikes (Permanent Immigration): Public health has minimal visa-sponsored job opportunities and being in a highly competitive region makes it even harder to get a sponsored job in this field. Though there are various scopes of jobs in this field it can be broadly classified into the public health practice side and the research side. Both the side has its own positive and negative. I would prefer to settle in the country if I get a visa sponsorship.
