B.Sc.(Hons.) in Information Technology and Management - Batch of 2023
Offered by Ravenshaw University, Mahanadi
4.6

Placement facilities are good. But for B.Sc the highest salary package offered is 3 LPA.
Placements: Per year 300-400 students enrolled in this course. The lowest salary package offered on campus was 1.8 LPA and the highest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Our college invites some MNCs like Infosys, Deloitte, Wipro, TCS, EY GDS, and many non-technical companies like Concentrix, HDFC Bank, etc., for placements.
Infrastructure: The college provides a Wi-Fi facility all over the campus. Labs are very broadband. For every lab session, there is another lecturer to help the students in a very friendly manner. Classrooms have air-conditioned facilities. The campus also has a gym and extracurricular activities room.
Faculty: Teachers are very cooperative. They always provide a selection for the examinations. The pass percentage is a 5 CGPA, but it is for sure students can achieve a higher percentage if they only attend the classes properly. Lecturers are very helpful, and their teaching is easy to understand.
Other: I chose this course because nowadays computer science is a vast course that provides jobs and helps us to build better careers.

TEDx Ravenshaw, secure...
Placements: It has very supportive good facility members in every field. Generally, alumni make collaborations with various companies for the improvement of students, like recently Coursera, a skill development company, provided us all courses from their website for free of cost.
Infrastructure: Our college has 3 libraries (e-resource, Kanika library, Century library) with AC attached, free Wi-Fi, and free Wi-Fi in every department. It has 7 boys' and 6 girls' hostels with a good canteen and cafeteria system. There are lots of competitions in every field.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in internal exams, with smart classrooms, many research labs, and a large playground for games like cricket, football, basketball, badminton, boys' and girls' gyms, beautiful gardens, and lawns. Semester exams are of a moderate level. They also prepare you for NCC and the Airforce.
Other: I chose B.Sc. Chemistry because I love Chemistry and want to go into the research field. The Chemistry department is the biggest department of Ravenshaw with 15 teachers, 5 to 6 experimental labs, 4 large classrooms, and 2 smart classrooms.

B.A.(Hons.) in History - Batch of 2025
3.2

Ravenshaw for you surely is a home away from home, specially for hostel life.
Placements: No placements are available in our course, if you want placement you should not opt for this course i.e. Bachelors in hist hons. B.Com and BBA have good placements in our college. Delloite also comes. Choose history only if you are ready to take the risk for your passion, it can be a good background for your UPSC or government job preparation, but I don't think that reason alone can be enough.
Infrastructure: The college campus feels like home, there are 2 libraries and classrooms that have digital boards and each depth has CCTV. Hostel rooms are mostly on a sharing basis of 5 or 6, which can get tiring with time. And mess food is very poor. But the hostel is very affordable.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, yes it is relevant. Semester exams in our college are moderate to hard. Faculty can be strict with attendance as they deduct marks from our internal and call our parents if we have low attendance. This course doesn't make you industry-ready. The pass percentage in my course is almost 95%, it is easy to pass this course if you study sincerely.
Other: I choose this course only because of my passion. I wish placements and practical training were involved in our cost. There are a lot of funds held in our college.

The best time spent in college.
Placements: To gain admission in our course the minimum percentage we need in 12th is 80%, then we can think about honors. Our department also provides placements with salary packages ranging from 1 LPA to 4 LPA. The best companies are Wipro and Tech Mahindra.
Infrastructure: Hostel is amazing and has good ambiance. There are many hostels on our campus. Many smart classrooms are available and we get at a very low cost. The food we get here is very tasty and of good quality also. We have a medical dispensary within our college.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good as they make feel us like our own family members. They are just amazing. We have 6 mid-semester exams. In the whole course, the exam level is competitive as this will help us in our future studies.
Other: I have chosen this college for its name, fame, and a renowned university. The best thing is that this is an affordable college for everyone. We get the best infrastructure and study at a very affordable price. We get scholarships as it is a government college. Every type of function and fests are conducted.

M.A. in Psychology - Batch of 2025

Masters in psychology, RU.
Placements: Currently, I'm in the 2nd year of my Master’s. The university doesn't provide placement for psychology students. The students have to find jobs on their own. The university does provide internships. Almost all of the students can go for internships. There are multiple career options for students pursuing a Master’s in psychology. For example, after clearing the UGC NET exam, one can become a lecturer, or students can go on to do a school or college counselor job.
Infrastructure: The department of psychology has facilities like uninterrupted Wi-Fi connection, projectors, and air-conditioned, equipped classrooms. The department has its own seminar library. The remedial classes and smart PPTs are helpful in clearing the doubts of students.
Faculty: Currently, the teachers are really helpful and engaging. All of them are NET JRF qualifiers, having excellent teaching quality. The curriculum is somewhat relevant in this fast-moving field of psychology. Semesters are moderately difficult, easy to clear all the papers. One has to score a minimum of 55% to appear in other competitive exams.
Other: The best thing about the department is that they are offering specialized courses in clinical psychology. There should be more practicality in the curriculum. Lots of events keep happening on campus throughout the year, such as Nua Khai Bhet Ghat, walking book fairs, and annual sports, etc.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure available in our course is average good. Infrastructure like specific classroom, common room for girls, projector also included, library also which is open to all, access of Wi-Fi in every corners of university campus. There is specific hostel for boys and girls, 8 to 10 hostel are there for both. Food, mess and canteen, medical facilities, sports, game all of us are available. Quality is average good.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is also good of every teacher. If students are knowledgeable it is moderate for semester exam in our college. The pass percentage is 33 to 40 %. About the seminar was held by our department for student based to give a chance for goahead.
Other: I choose the course because I want to going ahead through Hindi literature. Best things is about to study the previous era of Hindi history. Yes!
