MBBS - Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery - Batch of 2027
Offered by Government Medical College, Surat
4.4
2Placements5Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Campus life at GMCS is worth all the struggle in NEET.
Placements: Our medical college does not have a placement cell but the Government of Gujarat offers a compulsory paid one-year internship to each, and every student of the MBBS course. The stipend offered is fixed and it is Rs. 20,500 per month. During the internship, students have to work as intern doctors at the new civil hospital in Surat. For 1st year post-internship, there is a one-year compulsory bond, starting with one year of compulsory service for the government of Gujarat, which is also paid, i.e., Rs. 80,500 per month.
Infrastructure: Government Medical College, Surat has fully equipped lecture halls, seminar halls, practical labs, and fully functioning tertiary care. New Civil Hospital Surat is affiliated with it. The college has a central ground to organises all fests and other events. Hostels are not that good, but the new hostels are under construction and will be available for the 2026 batch. There are 4 messes each with pretty decent food. There are two canteens on the campus which offer great food. The library is fully air-conditioned and equipped with all the latest facilities, journals, books and magazines. Sports are held annually.
Faculty: Our course curriculum is divided into four and a half years and one year of internship. 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year comprises of 2 parts, i.e., 3rd 1st and 3rd 2nd final year. There are a total of 19 subjects in MBBS with 11 subjects in the final year. The course curriculum is very stressful and requires hard work and dedication to complete. Faculty members of respective subjects are post-graduates in their respective fields and have great experiences in their own fields. Exams are very difficult and the pass criteria is 50%, which is comparatively huge.
Other: The campus life is great. An annual college fest at GMCS is Eucrasia which is held every year in the march month. Extracurricular activities like volleyball tournaments, cricket tournaments, chess competitions, and TT competitions are held. Clubs in the college include the music club Rhapsody, dance club Anaya, artery club, light camera action Cinematography club, penumbra Photography club, and rangmanch a Drama club. The best thing about my course is career safety because a doctor earns pretty decent. The management should be improved in our course.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) - Batch of 2025
Offered by Vidyabharti Trust College of BBA
4.6
5Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good placement in 2025.
Placements: 60-70% students get placement in Surat in HRM, finance, etc. Every student is doing their job happily. The best placements are given in VTCBCSR in BBA. Our course offers a minimum of 30k/month as the highest package. I don't know about the lowest. 30-40% students got internships in companies. Don't know about the companies. Top roles offered in our course are in HRM.
Infrastructure: We don't have Wi-Fi on our campus, but our mobile network gets connection fully. I have noticed that every class has a different connection level. The labs are for BCA students, not for BBA students. I don't know about the food available in the mess, and the canteen is good or bad.
Faculty: Our college teachers are not that helpful, but yes, I can say they are qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. Semester exams in our college are not that hard. I swear you can get a good percentage even if you don't study hard. The pass percentage of our college is 70%, not bad.
Other: I chose this course because I want to live the HRM life. Events and fests are also very good.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2026
Offered by Ambaba Commerce College
2.6
2Placements3Infrastructure2Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
This college is average, but you can take admission as per their college feel.
Placements: This is an average college in Surat for B.Com. There is negligible placement in the B.Com course and negligible company visits to the campus. Around 1-2% of students are placed after the 3rd year. There are very few internship offers. In this college, BBA is the top course.
Infrastructure: This college has average infrastructure. This college has some labs. There is only one library for study. The college provides Wi-Fi but with limited data. They organize sports day, and we can play games like cricket, football, etc. There is a mess available in the college.
Faculty: There are actually good faculty members. They support students for their upcoming future. Faculty members are very qualified; all faculty have a Master's and Ph.D. degree. Semester exams are quite easy. They provide question banks for study. The college is affiliated with VNSGU College, so end-sem papers are from VNSGU.
Other: I have an interest in business and management, so I chose this course. The batch is good, but the latest books should be followed by the college. Here, we study outdated courses, which could be better. Events and fests are organized by students and faculty members.

Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2024
Offered by S. B. Garda Arts College and P. K. Patel College of Commerce
3.2
4Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
It can provide nice placement and charges the lowest fees.
Placements: 45% of students were placed. 12,000 to 40,000 packages were offered in my course. Better business ideas like a CA, marketing, wholesaler, and many business ideas. It provides a better feeling than other colleges. Jindal Steel, Reliance, and more companies are recruiting for our course.
Infrastructure: It provides a nice speed of Wi-Fi, and it has a very big library and so many books in there. It provides a big hall, trips, a classroom, and nice teachers. They teach very well. It provides assignment books, and they also provide a nice parking area.
Faculty: Our teachers are teaching very well, and they are very helpful and knowledgeable teachers. They teach very frankly. Teachers are preparing for the exams very nicely. They teach very nicely. Our college's passing percentage is 35%, and I study very well.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA) - Batch of 2025
Offered by SDJ International College
3.8
3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good faculty, absolutely good campus, and the fee is quite affordable.
Placements: Placements are average. Students are placed in Surat-based companies mostly. There are rarely any good, high-value companies that come for campus hiring. Placements can go from 2 LPA to around 5-6 LPA. As per my knowledge, this is the best information I can provide since the batch I am in right now is yet to be placed.
Infrastructure: Course: We have 2 computer labs, a seminar hall, and OTs for small events. Eventually, infrastructure will be good for BCA. Other infrastructure, like the canteen, is average, and the ground for sports is too good. For the course, lecture rooms, labs, and other infrastructure are absolutely fine. The sports section is the best of all.
Faculty: Faculty members for the BCA course are absolutely wonderful and cooperative. Each student is individually guided by any faculty when needed. Faculty members are one of the major reasons for my admission to this college. I would say the course curriculum is quite old for the current period.

Misleading placements, average facilities, but helpful professors and decent academics .
Placements: We were disappointed with the placements offered by this college. They promised placements with companies, but in the end, they didn't provide any. They just provided us with third-party placement opportunities and told us to take the MCA exam and interview online. They said we would get an email or call, but it was not confirmed that we would get the job 100%.
Infrastructure: The government hostels were a good place to stay. They provide separate accommodations for men and women. The college has Wi-Fi, but it's not for students. The classrooms are decent, and the library and librarians are good and supportive.
Faculty: The professors are well qualified and very helpful in every situation. The courses are decent, and they can help you get a decent job. The exams are not difficult compared to other university/college exams because VNSGU affiliated colleges get the exam papers from them.
