Comprehensive review of GEC Thrissur: academic excellence, infrastructure, and student experience.
Placements: The placement in GEC Thrissur is very good. Many companies like TCS and TISCO approach our college for placement. The average placement is 48 LPA. The alumni wing is also very strong in GEC Thrissur. The college also provides various internship programs which are very essential for the development of necessary skills.

The college is equipped with a wide range of laboratories and workshops to enhance the students' academic well-being and to cater to different engineering disciplines. Hostel facilities are also quite good.
Faculty: The faculty at GEC Thrissur plays a main role in shaping the academic life of students. The department-wise faculty members consist of experienced professors with diverse backgrounds and expertise. The curriculum at GEC Thrissur is designed to meet the ever-evolving needs of the engineering industry. The college conducts 2 internal exams and an internal lab exam.

The greatest college in Kerala.
Placements: Placement Experience: Few visited recruiters for mechanical engineering are Mahindra, Reliance, MRF, Larsen & Toubro. Almost every student gets placed either in the core sector or IT sector, with a minimum package of 5 LPA. The placement cell is also active.
Infrastructure: College has a good positive environment for study. This is Kerala's 2nd best engineering college based on NIRF ranking after CET. For mechanical engineering, it is Kerala's best college and has well-experienced faculty. To get admission, you need to qualify in KEAM, and the CEE board conducts this test. The college is allotted according to your rank in KEAM and reservation criteria. I chose this course because I like to work with machines. The faculty members are well-qualified and experienced and very helpful.
Faculty: I chose this course because I like to work with machines. The faculty members are well-qualified, experienced, and very helpful. The exams are conducted at the end of the semester and there are two series exams for internal evaluation. Many companies are ready to offer internships and training, but we can also try for others like DRDO, ISRO, etc., with our own effort. The placement cell is very supportive and helpful.

This is the 2nd best government college in the state after CET .
Placements: Less than 50 percent of total students were placed in the college. The highest package is around 15 LPA and the lowest package is about 2 LPA; it depends on the company and also your grade and marks scored. So you don't need to worry that hard but you have to work so hard .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not too good or too bad; it is average. You won't get a government hostel if you are in the general category or if you have a high income so don't think about getting into a government hostel if you have to. WiFi is not available for mobile phones but it is available, which is not that good .
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and they are very qualified. After writing PSA exams, they have been getting this job so the quality of the teacher is average. The course I took is not relevant for getting a suitable job as it does not make a student ready for industry selection. Semester exams are average at the college.
Other: I chose this course because I didn't get admission to any other college. The worst thing about this course is that it is a high placement job course.

Absolutely satisfied because of campus atmosphere and faculty members.
Placements: In the 2023 batch, we got 106 offers, and almost every student got placed. Students can be placed either in core companies or in the IT sector. Top recruiters are Oracle, Larsen & Toubro, Mahindra, Bosch, Reliance, etc. For every student placed, the minimum package is 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Classes are not bad at all but not very modern, and we have well-equipped electronics and electrical labs with well-qualified lab assistants. Food from the hostel mess is very good and hygienic. Wi-Fi facilities are available in the college and hostel for laptops only.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are supportive, clear all doubts, and motivate us for our studies. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult but not easy too. A person who understands concepts can score good grades.
Other: I like to work with electronics and electrical systems, and it is also an emerging field in India now.

College has moderate facilities with well-equipped lab.
Placements: Almost all students get placed, either in the core sector or in the IT sector. Placed candidates get a package of 5 lakhs. Core companies for mechanical engineering are MRF, L&T, and others. Candidates receive support from faculty and from the placement cell.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not bad at all but also not very modern. Classes have basic facilities like blackboards, projectors for presentations, and fans. Hostels are not very hygienic, but they are very cheap, and the food is pretty okay. Both the college and hostel have Wi-Fi facilities, but only for laptops.
Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive and helpful for both academics and co-curricular activities and are well-qualified. Teaching quality is really great. The course curriculum is relevant, with a project-based learning scheme. Semester exams are not so hard, but not so easy either.
Other: I like to work with machines. Campus Life is awesome.

A college that provides good campus life, competitive students, but comparatively fewer placements.
Placements: 60–70% of students were placed, with the highest package being between 10 and 11 LPA and the lowest package being between 5 and 6 LPA. Oracle, Air India, etc. are the top recruiting companies. 20% of students got internships. The top role offered was data analyst.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, library and the labs are functioning well. Classrooms need some furnishing as well as modifications. Hostel facilities are satisfactory. Food is really good and healthy. The canteen provides good food at cheap rates. The physical education department also promotes sports and games.
Faculty: The teaching quality was not as good as expected. There are few teachers who are helpful and knowledgeable. But a majority of teachers aren't providing a good teaching method. The course curriculum is quite relevant, but it still has to improve. Semester exams are medium-level. Pass percentage is about 90–95%.
Other: This course is demanding, and since the course upskills me, I will always be happy with it. I wish to improve the extracurricular activities and mentorship. Events and fests are as good as expected.
