Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) - Batch of 2024
4.2
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Best college for B.com with moderate fees and best teaching.
Placements: Of the 120 students in our B.Com. course, only 20% were placed. The highest package offered was 4 lakh per annum, the lowest was 1.5 lakh per annum, and the average package was 3.6 lakh per annum. Only 30% of students got internships on their own. The top recruiting companies were TCS, PWC, Cafe Coffee Day, and Decathlon.
Infrastructure: The college is small but has all the basic facilities needed for education. The campus has only one small area for playing all sports, so sports facilities are limited. Wifi is available for studies, and the hostel rooms are clean and have the best food items being served in the mess. The college has first aid and 24-hour security.
Faculty: The teachers at this college are very knowledgeable about the subjects they teach. They are also very helpful and qualified. The curriculum consists of major papers and one soft skills paper each semester. There are regular industrial visits, seminars, and group discussions on subjects. The semester exams are easy to pass, but scoring is difficult because the evaluation is strict.

Best placement opportunities in the year 2024 and good teaching.
Placements: Only 15 percent of students from our class got placed during campus selection. The average package offered was around 3 to 4 lakh per annum. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Deloitte, Decathlon, and PWC. I got placed in PWC with a package offered of 3.6 lakh per annum. 15 to 20 students out of 120 got internships on their own.
Infrastructure: Commerce department has only a good seminar hall, clean classrooms, and Wi-Fi for studies. The library is full of textbooks, magazines, old question papers, and other study material. The hostel is well maintained, and the rooms are clean and furnished. The food quality is best, with hygiene being considered.
Faculty: Lecturers are strict. They are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable as they provide notes and have more than 5 years of experience in teaching. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready by conducting seminars, discussions, and debates on topics that are taught. Passing sem exams is easy. Scoring highest depends on the teachers who evaluate.

4Placements3Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
College is only suitable for studying and no proper sports facility.
Placements: Our course successfully placed 20 to 30 percent of students, with the majority choosing to pursue higher education. The highest package offered stands at 4 Lacs per annum for freshers, while the lowest package is 2 Lacs per annum. Only 10 to 20 students opt for internships, with companies like Biocon and Medlife being among the top recruiters.
Infrastructure: The college lacks adequate space as it only possesses a single basketball court and lacks proper sports facilities. Moreover, Wi-Fi is only available in the library, and the use of phones is prohibited. However, the classrooms are equipped with ICT resources. On the other hand, the hostel surpasses the college canteen in terms of quality. Additionally, the hostel is conveniently located near a hospital, ensuring basic first aid is readily available. Furthermore, the food provided in the hostel is both hygienic and delicious.
Faculty: Teachers possess extensive knowledge and are highly qualified to impart education, boasting a minimum of 10 years of experience. They provide us with comprehensive study materials, both online and offline. The semester examinations can be easily cleared by dedicating a day or a week of focused studying prior to the exams. Additionally, there are two internal theory exams and one lab prelims conducted before the final examination.

Good college for B.Com, has the best teaching staff and curriculum.
Placements: 20 percent of students were placed through campus selection. Around 90 percent of students who attended campus selection got placed in companies like TCS, PWC, Cafe Coffee Day, Decathlon, Deloitte, and many more. Average package offered was around 3 to 5 lakh per annum, and the lowest package is 1.5 lakh per annum.
Infrastructure: Campus is small, and movements are restricted. Classrooms are large and spacious enough to accommodate all. The department has a seminar hall and discussion rooms for activities such as debate and group discussion. The hostel is 1 km away from campus. Tasty and quality food is served regularly in the mess.
Faculty: Teachers are strict, but notes, study material, and slides are provided by them. Many have more than 10 years of experience in teaching. Course curriculum is relevant and consists of exams and internals. Teachers help students who are interested in internships by recommending companies from their network. Regular discussion, seminars, guest talks, and industrial visits are conducted as a part of the curriculum.

B.Sc. (Biotechnology, Chemistry) - Batch of 2024
4.2
4Placements5Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
College is good for B.Sc in life science, good campus life and facilities in 2024.
Placements: Only 5 percent of students got placed through campus interviews. The lowest package offered is 1.5 LPA; the highest is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Biocon, Anthem Biosciences, Paytm, Cafe Coffee Day, Deloitte, Decathlon, molecular connections, and others. None of the students got internships, as it was not mandatory for us.
Infrastructure: The Chemistry and Biotechnology department has good labs and equipment. Classrooms have to be smart of or projectors. Library has all books for studies and can also be accessed online. The hostel has clean and spacious rooms, a hygienic mess, and many food items being served. Sports facilities are limited and there is inadequate time to play.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable about the subjects they teach us. They conduct seminars and workshops to enhance students practical experience. Semester exams are easy and can be passed by attending classes regularly. The pass percentage is 98%.

B.Sc. in Biochemistry, Biotechnology - Batch of 2020
3.6
4Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty3Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
This is the review of the college solely based on my experience.
Placements: About 80-90 percent of students get placed in my course. The average package is around 15 - 20K. Most students go for internships from our course, but the initiative should be taken from the students' side to approach the faculty members or to directly approach the company.
Infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure. They provide student Wi-Fi, which is available only after noon. The college has good lab facilities and classrooms. The library is one of the best amenities available in college. The hostel is near and clean and provides food of decent quality. The food at the mess/canteen is not that great, though. For medical facilities, there are not separate departments or anything; maybe they just provide you with first aid. For sports and games, when I was studying there, they didn't give much importance to it. But now I think they are improving.
Faculty: Teachers were really helpful and supportive; they are qualified and knowledgeable. They are very friendly and approachable, so if you need to ask for any help, they will be happy to help. The curriculum provides you with the basics of biotechnology, but I don't think it makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are of manageable difficulty.
Other: I have been told that this course has a lot of scope, and that is why I chose this course. Biotechnology is a vast area of study; it branches into a lot of subdivisions and holds its diversity. In college, I wanted more hands-on training in the lab, combining theory with practical. There are some cultural events like SPECTRUM and ethnic day; campus crowd is not that great; you are not even allowed to socialize on campus; you should either be in class or in the library; those are the college rules.

Admission FAQs

Q:   What are the minimum marks required for M.Sc at Indian Academy Degree College 2023?

A:

So, if you're eyeing an M.Sc. at Indian Academy Degree College in 2023, the minimum marks you need might play hide-and-seek, especially depending on what you're diving into. Take Microbiology or Biotechnology, for instance. For these cool specializations, being a B.Sc. graduate is the first checkpoint, and you need a solid 50% in your scorebook.

Now, the plot thickens when it comes to other M.Sc. specializations. The search results are a bit shy about spilling the beans on their specific requirements.

Indian Academy Degree College, standing tall in Bangalore, India, has been doing its academic thing since 1994. They've got a buffet of courses - undergrad, postgrad - covering sciences, management, and commerce.

When it comes to getting a golden ticket into their M.Sc. programs, it's all about that merit-based game. Generally, you'll need a 50% minimum in your bachelor's degree in the relevant field. But hold on, this rulebook might shuffle a bit depending on which M.Sc. path you're marching down.

Q:   Can I get B.Sc at Indian Academy Degree College with 75 percentile in Karnataka 2nd PUC?

A:

Indian Academy Degree College (IADC) opens its doors to students with a variety of B.Sc. programs to choose from. Getting into these programs involves looking at your Class 12 exam scores, with a typical requirement being at least 35%. However, this number can change depending on the specific B.Sc. specialisation you're interested in. For instance, certain specializations might ask for a higher score, like 55% in English. Now, just hitting the minimum score doesn't guarantee you a spot. The final decision depends on your overall performance in the qualifying exam and might even involve a chat during an interview. So, even if you've got a cool 60% in Class 12, it's not a guaranteed ticket. Each B.Sc. specialisation might have its own rules, and the selection process is all about how well you've done in your exams and possibly how you present yourself in an interview.
