Our bodies are amazing but complex biological machines. This course will provide you with an outstanding foundation of knowledge in human anatomy and physiology.
  • You will gain a broad understanding of the relationships between normal structure and function in human cells and tissues, both in health and disease. The properties of the four main types of tissue in the body - epithelial, connective, muscular and nervous - will also be clearly explained.

Mario Ricci
Mario Ricci is Director of E-Learning in the School of Medical Sciences at the University of Adelaide. He has been the coordinator of first year Human Biology in the Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHlthSc) program for over 10 years.
Rachel Gibson
Rachel Gibson is the coordinator of first year Biology for Nursing Practice 1 in the Bachelor of Nursing program, University of Adelaide. She is also Head of the Gut Microbiome Group which investigates the toxic effects of chemotherapy on the gut bacterial populations of cancer patients.
