this course will delve into the history of women in Film, beginning with early Film pioneers, looking at key films and influential women
We will look at individual women working in various roles within the production process, from producing and directing to script writing, acting and editing
We will also take a look at particular films which mark out key moments, changing the way women were represented on screen
We will explore Classic Hollywood cinema but also women film makers in International cinema and Documentary films.

Mrs Kiri Walden

Kiri Teaches film and cultural studies at OUDCE and is the author of three books about British film history. She has worked in film, on both sides of the camera.
