  • Recognize the role and responsibility of health care providers in the fight against inequities in health care.
  • Identify the role of health care providers in the process of eliminating racism in our societies.
  • Design health care delivery improvements that build on the vast experience obtained during the current COVID-19 pandemic in managing multiple acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Recognize the role of health care professionals as educators in the pursuit of health equity in our societies.
  • Conceptualize concrete interventions in own clinical practice or setting to improve the quality of care offered to underserved communities as applicable.

  • This course provides attendees with a deep understanding of the current challenges faced by racial and ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+, and elderly populations in their pursuit of a better health status
  • Speakers and attendees will engage in thorough discussions on the multiple biological, social, financial and cultural aspects that influence patients' health-oriented behaviors. Speakers will share a careful analysis of the current status of our health care system that has fallen short in providing equal health care and opportunities to all members of our society
  • Sessions will highlight the role, responsibility and tangible opportunities for all health care providers to engage in the fight against health care disparities
  • Attendees will receive practical recommendations to ultimately achieve health equity in our societies
