With their advantages in mobility and location awareness, mobile devices have become an indispensable part of geographic information systems (GIS) solutions in sustainable development, health and human services, emergency management, and utilities
Consumer mobile GIS applications, such as Google Maps, Google Earth, Waze, and Zillow, have put the basic GIS capabilities in everyone's hands
This course focuses on enterprise mobile GIS, which offers a much wider variety of capabilities
Students learn the foundational principles, in-depth knowledge, and state-of-the-art technologies to manage, design, and implement mobile GIS projects
This course teaches students how to design GIS data, layers, maps, and smart logics for online and offline spatial data visualization, data collection, assets and users tracking, and field operation coordination based on Esri's mobile GIS products, including Survey123, Field Maps, QuickCapture, AuGeo, ArcGIS 360 VR, AuGeo, ArcGIS Earth, Indoors, and AppStudio
