  • List new developments and state-of-the-art treatments for neurosurgical conditions (brain and spine) available at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
  • Describe signs and symptoms of urgent neurosurgical conditions.
  • Interpret incidental imaging findings of the brain and spine and their urgency.
  • Evaluate the need for operative versus conservative treatment for axial back pain.
  • List special considerations for treating elderly patients with TBI.
  • Generate a differential diagnosis of the most common neurosurgical conditions.

  • This course is also relevant for any subspecialty working closely with neurosurgery: critical care, pain medicine, ENT, emergency medicine and ACS. This course is designed to be interactive and case-based and the content is relevant to day-to-day care for our patients
  • Nurses, APPs, physical and occupational therapists and speech therapists are encouraged to attend.
  • This is an accredited, in-person course offered by Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. This course is targeted to Specialty Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and Primary Care Physicians .
