What are the course deliverables?

List new developments and state-of-the-art treatments for neurosurgical conditions (brain and spine) available at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Describe signs and symptoms of urgent neurosurgical conditions.
Interpret incidental imaging findings of the brain and spine and their urgency.
Evaluate the need for operative versus conservative treatment for axial back pain.
List special considerations for treating elderly patients with TBI.
Generate a differential diagnosis of the most common neurosurgical conditions.

This course is also relevant for any subspecialty working closely with neurosurgery: critical care, pain medicine, ENT, emergency medicine and ACS. This course is designed to be interactive and case-based and the content is relevant to day-to-day care for our patients
Nurses, APPs, physical and occupational therapists and speech therapists are encouraged to attend.
