Faculty details

Dr. Newton H. Miller II
Dr. Newton Miller has been committed to the education arena since 1995 when he converted non-traditionally from the ranks of the engineering field. His research interest lies in educating at-potential populations. More specifically, the systemic thinking which promotes equitable access to achievement, effective school cultures, and facilitation of programming and instruction resulting in the educational success of at-potential populations.
Deborah Carpenter
Deborah serves full-time as Assistant Professor and Faculty Lead for the Faculty Support and Development Committee, where she serves as a faculty reviewer and mentor for associate faculty within the Department of Education and Liberal Arts. Deborah began her career in the field of elementary education, having taught third and fourth grades for Riverside Unified and Poway Unified School Districts in Southern California. She obtained her Master of Arts degree from San Diego State University in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading and Language Arts. Deborah is currently writing her dissertation and plans to complete her Ph.D. at University of Arizona Global Campus in Summer of 2023. She currently teaches undergraduate students in the BAES program.
