Carl Marquez
Carl Marquez is a core faculty at the Forbes School of Business & Technology at the University of Arizona Global Campus. He earned a Master of Science in Educational Technology from National University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from San Diego State University. Before joining the University of Arizona Global Campus as a full-time online assistant professor, Carl’s 25-year educational experience starts from elementary school all the way to college and University. He has worked in the front office, student information systems technician, high school teacher, high school sports coach, curriculum developer, staff developer, and college/university teacher of various schools. In addition, Carl has earned several certificates and certifications from Microsoft, CompTIA, HP, and Cisco. As a systems analyst with the government, Carl gained valuable experience with information systems management, cybersecurity, database security, budget management, and project management. He has improved the efficiency of many processes and systems.

Lisa Sims is a Faculty of the Web & Mobile App Technology Emphasis in the Department of Technology Studies of the Forbes School of Business and Technology® at the University of Arizona Global Campus. She earned a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University. Before joining UAGC as a full-time assistant professor, Lisa worked in the public and private sectors in various industries in numerous software development roles for over 25 years. She also worked as an independent technology consultant for her own technology consulting company. In addition, Lisa has taught part-time at seven online universities over the past 15 years. Her areas of expertise include web design, mobile app development, project management, e-commerce, system analysis and design, software development, search engine optimization, and social media and digital marketing. Lisa is passionate about education and online learning because she was once an online learner struggling to find the work/life balance that many of today’s students encounter.
