I am a University of Minnesota professor who researches and teaches about diverse aspects of work, employment, and related institutions (e.g., labor unions) from a multidisciplinary perspective. My most recent book is The Thought of Work, and I have received multiple teaching awards. I have led the Center for Human Resources and Labor Studies in the Carlson School of Management, and have directed our prestigious Master's program in Human Resources and Industrial Relations.
