What is the Charpak Exchange Scholarship?
Candidates looking to pursue the Charpak Exchange Scholarship are required to fulfil the scholarship eligibility criteria mentioned below:
- The applicant must be an Indian citizen and resident of India
- The candidate must not be older than 30 years of age during the time of application
- The student has to be enrolled on an institution of higher education in India that by mandate has a tie-up with a French institution where the student would ideally pursue the exchange semester
- Applicants to the Charpak Exchange Scholarship should keep in mind that students pursuing their final semester project and laboratory research are not eligible to apply to a partner institute in France as part of the exchange programme
Charpak Exchange Scholarship: Selection Process
Applicants looking to secure the Charpak Exchange Scholarship should note that the scholarship is granted based on academic excellence and submission of an outstanding statement of purpose from the candidate. The candidates' CGPA/percentage does not influence the results of the scholarship. Candidates who know French would be considered as an asset for the scholarship however it is not a mandatory requirement.

Along with the application, the candidate would be required to submit a number of scanned documents as part of the Charpak Exchange Scholarship application programme.

- Passport size formal photograph to be uploaded
- A scanned copy of your passport (the first page that has your photo and expiry date)
- Full Curriculum Vitae – do not exceed 2 pages
- Admission/acceptance letter from the French institution of higher education
- Scanned copies of your earlier academic achievements (Higher Secondary School (XII), Bachelor's and Master's degrees including semester results of ongoing degree)
- NOC from the Indian institution
- Proof of knowledge of the French language (optional)
- All records of employment and internship
- Letter of Recommendations (LoR) from the university - preferable on a formal letterhead (not mandatory)
- Statement of purpose (format available on the scholarship form)
