The Charpak Master’s Scholarship applicants should note that the scholarship does NOT renew for the second year automatically. Candidates who have opted for a course that runs for two years should note that the Charpak Master's Scholarship grant would be applicable for the second year (also known as M2) based on the performance of the previous year (also known as M1). Candidates requiring the Charpak Master's Scholarship for the second year of their course would be required to re-apply for the second year of funding in order to complete their course. There is no automatic renewal. The scholarship would be granted for the second year, provided the candidate has upheld their academic performance in the previous year and their new statement of purpose is convincing enough for the jury. Charpak Master's Scholarship – Eligibility
Candidates looking to pursue their Master’s degree in France and apply for the Charpak Master's Scholarship are required to fulfil the scholarship eligibility criteria mentioned below:
- The applicant must be an Indian citizen and resident of India
- The candidate must not be older than 30 years of age during the time of application
- The applicant should be ideally pursuing or have completed his education from a reputed Indian institution of higher learning
- Young professionals employed for a maximum of three years in a company during the time of the application are also allowed to apply for the Charpak Master's Scholarship
- Candidates who are already enrolled for their first year of Master’s studies in France are NOT eligible to apply for the Charpak Master's Scholarship for the first or the second year of their study
Charpak Master's Scholarship – Selection Process
Applicants looking to bag the Charpak Master's Scholarship should note that the scholarship is granted based on academic excellence and the submission of an outstanding Statement of Purpose (SOP). The applicant's CGPA/percentage does not influence the results of the scholarship. Candidates who know French would be considered as an asset for the scholarship however it is not a mandatory requirement. Candidates who are currently enrolled in an Indian institution that has an existing tie-up with their future French institution are definitely considered as an asset.
Charpak Master's Scholarship – Application Process
Candidates looking to apply to the Charpak Master's Scholarship are required to submit their applications on the official Charpak Scholarship portal. Along with the application, they would be required to submit a number of scanned documents as part of the Charpak Master's Scholarship application process.

Charpak Master's Scholarship – Document Submission
- Passport size formal photograph to be uploaded
- A scanned copy of your passport (the first page that has your photo and expiry date)
- Full Curriculum Vitae – do not exceed 2 pages
- Admission/acceptance letter from the French institution of higher education
- Scanned copies of your earlier academic achievements (Higher Secondary School (XII), Bachelor's and Master's degrees including semester results of ongoing degree)
- Proof of knowledge of the French language (optional)
- All records of employment and internship
- Letter of Recommendations (LoR) from your ex-employer/university - preferable on a formal letterhead

The Charpak Master’s Scholarship: Document Submission Online
As mentioned earlier, candidates would be required to apply for the Charpak Master’s Scholarship online by visiting the official Charpak Scholarship portal. As part of the successful application process, the candidate would also be required to submit multiple scanned documents to support their candidature. Candidates are required to mandatorily save the documents for uploading in the provided file names below. This is an official decree by Campus France.

Benefits of the Charpak Master’s Scholarship
