My modern college.
Placements: Modern College of Engineering placed almost all students this year, with an approximate placement ratio of 90%. The highest package was 30 LPA for a mechanical student in a Japanese company. The average package for the college this year is 6 LPA, and the remaining students were placed in top companies in India.
Infrastructure: Modern College of Engineering has separate, well-maintained labs for each subject and a study lab for self-preparation. The college has a separate canteen behind the college building, and the canteen offers the best food options with good taste. There is also a parking area for students.
Faculty: Modern College of Engineering became an autonomous college this year, so they have developed a new education pattern. The faculty for each subject is very experienced and very helpful to every student. The annual event, Spandan, is conducted by the college.

Is PES Modern WORTH it? Decent college.
Placements: The overall placement rate in college is 80 percent regardless of the field or branch they have chosen. There are many mass recruiting companies that arrive or visit the college during internship and placement drives such as Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Tata, Capgemini, and other high package offering companies such as RT Camps, Accenture, and Dhruva. There is a special placement cell in the college that helps students make well enough decisions.
Infrastructure: In terms of infrastructure, the college is not great, the campus is short-spaced, and there is no big ground for sports activities. In short, the campus space is less. It’s just one building comprising a gym, library, and rooms. The college has its own gym, which is beneficial for students’ physical health, and also has a huge library where students use it while preparing for exams. Also, the installation of college Wi-Fi has been initiated by the college for commercial and student use.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful with the academic as well as non-academic part. The teachers are highly qualified with high degrees such as Masters, Doctorates, and PhDs in their respective fields. The teachers are involved in the deep learning of concepts. The syllabus is designed by SPPU (Savitribai Phule Pune University), but now, from 2024, the college has become autonomous, so there may be changes in the curriculum. There are two types of exams under the SPPU curriculum: mid-sem and end-sem examinations.
Other: I was allocated admission to Modern College in the last round of CAP in MHT CET. I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science. It’s a better course for future perspectives, and as technology is improving, a keen interest is needed for students to take up this course.

Average College but with good friends you can vibe.
Placements: We were the 2024 pass-out batch, and less than half the percentage of students were placed. The highest package was 6 LPA, and the average was 3-3.5 LPA. We were 2 batches, and in each batch, there were approximately 50-60 students. A total of 110-120 students were there for the 2024 pass-out year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. When you make friends in college, you will love it, and the surrounding area is also pretty. Everything is nearby, and you will not face many travel problems. JM Corners is also nearby, where you can eat your food.
Faculty: The faculty is also supportive, and they have a good ability to teach. You will enjoy your college life peacefully. They will only disturb you when the submission is due; the rest of the time, you can enjoy your college life, have fun, and industrial visits are also provided by them.
Other: The fest is very limited, with only traditional day, teachers' day, and annual day happening.

Average college. Very strict, like schools.
Placements: The placements are not that good, but if you try harder and have great skills, you can definitely get placed. The maximum placed this year was 30 lakhs per annum, which was in Japan. The second highest was 20 lakhs per annum. College says their placement is 100%, but the reality looks different.
Infrastructure: Again, infrastructure and hostel are not that good. The college has a very small campus. The hostel is also available for only a few students. The hostel rooms are very small and shared between 4 people. There are no table-chair facilities in the rooms. The campus facilities are okay.
Faculty: Again, the faculty members are good. Sometimes the syllabus and exams may be hectic, but that's normal. Faculty members are very strict. Exams are easy sometimes, difficult at other times. But faculty members will help you a lot. Attendance matters for the faculty. They have arranged the lectures in such a format that if anyone misses one day, they aren't going to recover.
Other: My branch is AI/ML, which is very good because our branch has less intake capacity than other branches.

No placements, few college fests, good infrastructure but dissatisfied with teaching.
Placements: There were only 7-8 companies that came to campus, and only 15-20 students were placed. They make a lot of promises about placements before we enroll, but after we are admitted, we find out that they were just false promises. To make matters worse, they don't give all students a fair chance at placement. If we have a 60% or below grade in our 10th, we won't even be considered. The highest salary this year was 6 LPA, which went to one student. The average salary was 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at this college is good. It has its own Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library. All of these facilities are clean, hygienic, and well maintained. The Wi-Fi is accessible to students. The college also has a sports ground that is well maintained and provides a wide variety of games and the necessary equipment. There is also a gym on campus. The college does not have a mess or a hostel, but it does have a canteen that serves decent-quality snacks and food.
Faculty: While all the teachers were qualified, only a few were good at sharing their knowledge. The course curriculum was not relevant to today's industry standards and did not prepare students for industry jobs. Passing exams was easy. Semester exams were out of 70 marks, and internal exams were out of 30. To pass, we needed at least 28 marks on semester exams and 12 marks on internal exams. The final passing percentage was 40%.
Other: I chose this college because I didn't get any other good options in the CAP grounds. The course syllabus needs to be updated to meet industry standards. Students need hands-on experience to be industry-ready, and the college should try to build projects for companies with its students. On the plus side, the college is heavily crowded, and connectivity is excellent, with local buses every minute and a nearby metro stop. Students can enjoy fests, events, and extracurriculars like Spandan, M-pulse, Avishkar, and various project competitions. Scholarships are available if you are in any kind of minority and the government has a scheme for you (Maharashtra candidates as an example).

Might wanna consider a better college
Placements: The placements are average, lowest 3.6 LPA and highest 12 LPA offered to 2 students and average of 4-4.5 LPA. Companies coming for placements include Tech Mahindra, PTC, Cognizant, Q Spiders. Most of the companies put a percentage cap so top scorers get higher priority, I have so many friends who aren't academically good but are technically really strong and better than rest of the batch but they don't even get interviews just cause their scores aren't good on paper. A good chunk of people don't sit for placements due to higher studies.
Infrastructure: The campus is really small with no ground. It's only 1 building with 2 departments on each floor. There is no hostel for boys. Since the campus is small students cannot park their vehicles inside easily, it's too crowded that you don't even have path to walk sometimes. Most of them park on roads outside, plus they charge 5rs each day you park. Wifi is there but only near library area, most of the time you have to sit without internet as there is no signal.
Faculty: Teaching is average/above average. There have been multiple teachers who managed to spark an interest in me for their subject but overall it's average like any other tier 3 college. There also are teachers who join for experience and then later switch for better colleges. The curriculum is set by SPPU which this college is affiliated to and overall it isn't that hard but the management like exams and practical aren't properly scheduled sometimes, like for example there was a time where we gave midsemester exams and after 2 days we gave end semester exams.

Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.
