The Rightful Decision for My Future.
Placements: There are good placement programs at Rajagiri College of Social Sciences. As of June 30, 2024, 27% of undergraduate B.Com students have secured their careers through campus recruitment. Many big recruiters like Deloitte US are recruiting from the campus. The average package is about 8,00,000 INR per annum. There are also various internship programs offered by the institution.
Infrastructure: Rajagiri College of Social Sciences has a great infrastructural construction. The building consists of 8 floors and 2 basement floors. There are 2 cafes and many facilities such as vending machines. The hostel is above average. There is Wi-Fi facility inside the hostel. The college also supports sports and other extracurricular activities.
Faculty: One of the most notable things for me about the college was the quality of education they provide. Each and every faculty member of Rajagiri College of Social Sciences is professional and well-trained. They put their full efforts into ensuring that the students understand each and every topic. The curriculum makes the students prepare for the future by also doing real-life activities. The semester exams are scheduled perfectly with the other exams.
Other: There are many events organized by the college. Splendor is the college fest, which is generally conducted in December. It is a huge celebration. I chose B.Com with ACCA, which is a professional add-on course. I did a study and found out that there is a broad scope for this profession abroad.

Review on Rajagiri College of Social Sciences.
Placements: 85% of the students got placed. The highest 24-27 LPA, the lowest 4-5 LPA, and the average 9-11 LPA. Top recruiting companies are KPMG, EY, Deloitte, banks, and financial firms. 75% of the students get into Big 4's roles such as accounting, finance, taxation, auditing, sales, marketing, and HR.
Infrastructure: Every class has quite spacious air-conditioned rooms with a smart board and whiteboards. The appearance is all good for a classroom to study and engage with. There's Wi-Fi available (30GB per month). Labs are free to use when available. There's a 3-floor library providing different facilities and a wide range of books and information. Required ones can be found by searching in the system. As for me, I'm in the Nirmala Annex hostel for B.Com students. It is quite good. The food is great, better than expected. Non-veg is available every day except Friday. Curfew is till 7. Nuns are strict if you don't follow the rules properly. Sports can be played outside the hostel, and there is space for that, with benches in the area to sit.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. I've received some amazing assistant professors to teach me for my classes. Most of them hold PhDs or master's degrees. Yes, the curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. They provide extra courses as well to develop our skills for other things and improve our resumes. Exams are exams. If you study hard, at least during the exam season, you'd pass with great marks. The pass percentage is more than 90%.
Other: I'm in the batch pursuing B.Com with ACCA. I chose this course in order to have a professional course along with a degree course. There are experienced and amazing faculty members out there to give us a great time in our academics. There are plenty of other opportunities as well, such as internships, live workshops, and industrial visits. There are also plenty of fests and events through which we can improve our leadership and other skills. Overall, everything is good. You get a lot of opportunities to develop and improve every aspect as a person.

RCSS First Year B.Com (Hons.) Student Review
Placements: The percentage of placement is 27%. Since I’m an M.A. first-year student, I’m not fully aware of the package details, but it would be around 3-8 Lacs p.a. The Big 4 are said to provide several job and internship opportunities to Rajagiri students in the fields of finance and auditing.
Infrastructure: All classrooms are equipped with smart screens and excellent infrastructure. The library provides access to several study guides and research publications. Hostel food is average and can get boring after a repetitive menu every week. They serve both veg and non-veg. College canteens and cafes serve snacks as well as meals at affordable rates.
Faculty: The faculty are well knowledgeable in several fields and always approachable. They use experiential learning over traditional teaching methods, helping students become industry ready. B.Com exams are reasonably at a medium level of difficulty, while professional specifications such as ACCA, which I’ve chosen, require more effort and focus.
Other: The 9-paper exemption they provide for ACCA was the biggest deciding factor for me, along with great reviews from friends and family who have already graduated from this college. Splendor is a huge fest, especially for Commerce students, that is held every year and organized entirely by students and provides great opportunities to build connections.

The best journey still has a place in my heart.
Placements: Placements are amazing try to grab internship at good organization. There are 90% chances that you will be hired by that company. EY, Nissan, Tata Elxsi, Deloitte, Kalki Tech, etc. are the top recruiters. Not all students are placed but the chances are high for placement. I get internship In Tata Elxsi, they found me good and offered me a full-time job, which I accepted. Packages are different for all companies. 4.4 LPA packages are mostly offered, and the highest is 12.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college environment is relaxing and clamorous. Sadly, classrooms do not have AC; college infrastructure is like a big beauty. For enjoyment, activities, trips, and visits are not organized; they are only focused on study. The college library book collection is huge and quiet. The only disappointing facility is Rajagiri. The hostel is expensive but the quality is good. Hostel rules are strict, and the warden is not letting anyone roam. Adjusting to college takes some time. Sports departments are very neglected in college; expect football field sports infrastructure to need big changes.
Faculty: Professors qualifications are somewhere around M.Tech. CS or higher from big institutes like NIT and IIT but they are very boring. Some students slept during their lectures. I feel teaching is not their passion; it is just a 9-to-5 job for them. M.Sc. CS (DA) is a newly introduced course that is a mixture of CS and data analytics and is more advanced than CS. Adding DA gives extra subjects like analytics and data cleaning but they are useful in industries. Semester exams are hard as the college is partnered with MG University.
Other: The course is demanding and it is better than a normal CS course, which led me to choose this course. I wish some things, like an expensive fee, would be better.

A brief review of Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kalamassery, Kochi.
Placements: I'm only a first-year student at the moment, but I've heard my seniors say that the placement is good and that if you put in even a little effort, you can get placed at a good company comparatively easily. Hence, I would say that the placements are great. Our alumni, who are now either working in great companies or preparing for PG entrance exams, have come to give us advice.
Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi everywhere, the buildings are clean and well-maintained, and the garden is filled with greenery—it's honestly refreshing. My classroom does have AC, a smart board, and we also have a three-floor library in the Carmel Block, where we attend classes. The food in the Assumption Men's Hostel is simply amazing; we get non-veg 6 days a week—yes, you read that right. They clean the rooms, and laundry service and ironing clothes are available (separate charges: 200 for 6.5 kg of clothes and 7 Rs to iron a shirt or pants).
Faculty: The professors are extremely friendly and helpful; they actually encourage you to ask questions, both academic and personal. The course does make students industry-ready, and we also have add-on courses and minors of our choosing, which help us build up our credit and also aid during placements. I have no idea what the semester exam pass percentage is, but everyone makes it in the long run, which is what really matters.
Other: My course is B.Com (Hons) integrated with CIMA UK. I selected this as I was interested in management accounting and aim to get placed in management positions. I don't have any ideas to improve my course; we already have very smart and well-qualified faculty working constantly to improve it. Fests and events are held every now and then. We also have a lot of different clubs that interested people can join. The hostel gate closes at 8:30 PM, which I don't really like, but it is in place to make students disciplined. They are also a bit strict regarding mobile phone use during class, but I don't really see too much of an issue with it. It isn't as strict as some of the students make it out to be.

Good for the long term.
Placements: The college provides placement options for students; it has tie-ups with big companies like KPMG, E&Y, etc. Most students get placed in companies before their graduation. For our course, the jobs offered are in tax and assurance. The average salary package is 500,000.
Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure facilities. Classrooms are hybrid classes. Wi-Fi facilities are available. The college is one of the best in India. It also provides students with various subscriptions to online journals for free. The hostel was below average and expensive. The food is not good, and there is no priority given to hygiene in the hostel as well as the surroundings.
Faculty: The faculty members are qualified and rank holders. They are supportive and friendly; they not only provide textbook knowledge but also the knowledge that a student needs to survive in the real business world. The semester is not that difficult, but the timing for exams is not good. There are high chances of a mix-up between the semester exam and the professional exam.
Other: I chose Bachelor of Commerce Model 2 Finance and Taxation along with ACCA. This is one of the best courses to secure a job, and it is globally recognized. The good thing about the course is that when you complete graduation, you can also complete the professional course.
