NIT Courses Online: Check Eligibility and Duration

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. The cutoff trend for BTech at NIT Surathkal has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for B.Tech. under general category for all India quota was 25078. In 2023, it decreased to 23632. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 34699 to 8409 for OBC, 76541 to 4193 for SC, 789 to 1001 for ST, 32563 to 3735 for EWS, and 460 to 634 for PWD.

This trend is likely to continue in the coming years, as the demand for engineering education in India continues to grow. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

National Institute of Technology Karnataka course admissions is based on the entrance exam. Candidates who want admission must first meet the basic criteria for eligibility and then take the entrance exam. NIT Surathkal BTech admissions are based on JEE Main scores, followed by JoSAA counselling. Candidates must secure a 75% or above percentile to get admission to BTech courses offered by NIT Surathkal. For candidates to qualify for admission in the IITs/NITS/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admission is based on JEE ranks, they should have secured at least 75% aggregate in Class 12, or be in the top 20 percentile in the Class 12 exam conducted by the respective Boards (65% for SC/ST/PwD students) 

JEE Main Round 6, has been released for admission to the BTech courses. As per MNNIT Allahabad JEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 4777 for General category candidates in All India quota for Computer Science Engineering. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 9937 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

Usually, the duration of post graduation courses is 2 years. At NIT Trichy, the duration of a PG-level MCA course is of three years. This course is offered in a full-time mode via the Department of Computer Applications at the institute. Admission to this course is directly based on NIMCET entrance exam. Admissions to NIT (National Institute of Technology), Trichy is Entrance Based for almost all of the courses. The college accepts different exam scores for different levels of courses. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains is necessary for admissions to the undergraduate engineering programs, B.Tech which offers 8 courses and B.Arch which offers 1 course. Admissions are based on the marks scored in class 12^th or equivalent as well as the JEE (Main) examination. Seats are allocated to students through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA).

Candidates seeking admission to NIT Jalandhar BTech courses must have passed Class 12 with 75% aggregate with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects (for SC/ST 65% aggregate is required). The aspirants must also hold the relevant documents for verification. Candidates who fulfil this eligibility criteria will be able to appear for JEE Main entrance exam.

 To get admission to MCA course at NIT Trichy, students must be graduated with minimum 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA in BSc/ BSc (Hons)/ BCA/ BIT with Mathematics/Statistics/Equivalent subject as one of the subjects. Students who are graduated with BE/B Tech or equivalent from a recognised University can also apply for this course. However, a five percent of relaxation is give to candidates who belong from SC/ ST categories. These candidates are required to obtain minimum of 55% or 6.0 CGPA in their respective graduation.
