1. Account Set-Up

The first step towards setting up your Character.AI account is to Sign Up; if you already have one, you can easily log in.

2. Create Your Character

Once you finish the account set-up, creating your unique character is next. On your home screen, you will find the +create option. You will find two options when you click on that: 1. Create a Character 2. Create a Room, choose the first option, i.e., create a character.

3. Adding Details to Character

You will see an interface like this when you click Create a Character. Here you need to fill in the details like Name, Greeting, Image Generation, Visibility and adding Avatar to your image.

For example: Here, we have created the character of Nikola Tesla– who came up with the inventions like alternating current (AC) electricity system that powers our homes, the Tesla coil which produces high-voltage electricity, and even wireless communication technology that paved the way for things like cell phones and Wi-Fi.

4. Advanced Options

Once you are done with the addition of a name, greeting, image generation and visibility features, the next option is related to Avatar.

Here you will get the option either to create an image or directly upload it from your library.

Once you have selected visibility and added Avatar, the next option will be Edit Details (Advanced) or pursue with the existing feature, i.e., Create and Chat!

If you choose advanced settings, you will see an interface like this. Here, you can give a short description which can be up to 50 characters. Moreover, you can add long descriptions, a category option, character voice, image generation, visibility, etc., features.

After this, you can see the option for visibility, which implies whether you want your Avatar to be public, unlisted or private. Similarly, you can set the visibility for your chat.
