NIRF 2024 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2024 rankings, IIIT Bangalore ranks #74 under the category 'Engineering'.

The GATE 2025 registration process with late fee is closed now for admission to the MTech course. The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted on Feb 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.

A few more updates are given below:

The KCET 2025 exam dates have been announced for admission to the BE/BTech and BPharma courses. As per the schedule, the KCET 2025 exam will be held on Apr 18 & 19, 2025.
The CUET UG registration process 2025 for admission to UG courses will commence tentatively during the last week of Feb 2025. The CUET UG 2025 exam dates will be announced soon.
The CAT 2024 answer key has been released for admission to the MBA/PGDM courses. Candidates can download the answer key by using their login credentials on the official website. The CAT 2024 result is expected to be released by Dec 20, 2024.
The Karnataka PGCET 2024 Round 2 final seat allotment results for admission to MBA, MCA, MArch, and ME/MTech courses have been released. Candidates can log in and check their results on the official website. The last dates for fees payment and reporting to the allotted colleges are Dec 4 and Dec 5, 2024, respectively.

IIIT Bangalore Highlights 2024

The International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (also known as IIIT Bangalore or IIIT-B) is a Deemed-to-be University in the de-novo category recognised under Section 3 of the UGC Act. The university was established in 1999 jointly by the Government of Karnataka and the IT Industry. A number of events were organised to mark the occasion, including a gala dinner, a research symposium, and a cultural festival. IIIT Bangalore has been ranked 74 under the 'Engineering' category by the NIRF 2024 Rankings.

The institute offers UG, PG, Integrated, Certificate and Diploma programmes across various streams such as Engineering, IT & Software and Science. The eligibility criteria defines the minimum educational requirement for admission to the course. For admission to the integrated courses, an aspirant must have a first-class pass in Class 12 or an equivalent exam with Mathematics as one of the subjects. Additionally, a candidate should have passed the qualifying exam from a recognised board. For verification purposes, aspirants must also hold educational certificates.

Q: Can I get into IIIT Bangalore without JEE?

The answer to this question depends on the course applied by the candidate. JEE Main is necessary if the aspirant is applying for BTech programme. For all other courses, candidates do not require JEE Main score. Mere qualifying JEE Main does not guarantee admission in the BTech programme of IIIT Bangalore. Aspirants also need to fulfil the eligibility requirement specific to BTech course for admission.

Q: Can I get IIIT Bangalore with 150 score in MTech?

International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore accepts GATE scores, followed by the GATE Counselling process for admission to the MTech course. GATE COAP Round 1 cutyoff has been released for IIIT Bangalore. As per the cutoff list, CSE was the most competitive course with a closing rank of 591 for the General AII India category students. So, considering the latest cutoff data, candidates having a score of 150 can not get into IIIT Bangalore for M.Tech admission.
