CAT exam is a national level MBA entrance exam conducted by the IIM. Every year, over 2.3 lakh candidates apply for it. Since the last two years, the competition has increased further with oveer 3 lakh candidates applying for the exam.
The CAT score is accepted by the Iims and all top MBA colleges in India. To select the best candidates from over 3 lakh test takers there is a need for stringent criteria. That's why, the CAT exam is tougher than other MBA entrance exams. Even though the syllabus of CAT is same as that of other MBA entrance exams, the question paper set by the IIM faculty always has tough questions. Moreover, CAT has sectional time limit for each section which is not there in any other exam except XAT. Having a time limit for each section adds pressure on candidates to complete solving adequate number of questions in a section within the time limit. If a student is weak in a particular subject, they can't use the time as per their need. CAT's Reading Comprehension passages are long and dense unlike other MBA exams. This is one more reason why most candidates feel CAT is tougher than any other MBA entrance exam.
Upon a comparison of fees for the two-year MBA programme at Sushant University and Great Lakes Guwahati, Sushant University charges a fixed fee of INR 5.5 lakh for the course. Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati admission requires the candidates to apply for the candidature online. As such, candidates must apply for enrollment in the admission process.
Also, candidates are required to appear for the accepted entrance exams, such as JEE Main/ JEE Advanced/ GATE or other equivalent exams, depending on the course. All the students seeking admission to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programme offered at IIT Guwahati must apply for UCEED first, and then submit a duly filled application to the institute. Each candidate can attempt UCEED a maximum of two times in consecutive years, and the score of the entrance exam is valid only for one year. IIT Guwahati has a seat intake of 33 for a full-time Master of Design (MDes) programme of two-year duration. The institute offers 13 seats for the General category. Apart from this, IIT Guwahati has 3 seats for the EWS General category, 9 seats for OBC-NCL, 5 seats for SC, and 3 seats for ST. Additionally, there are 30 seats in MDes Electronic Product Design.

IIT Guwahati B.Des cutoff 2024 has been released for UCEED. As per the round 2 cutoff, the closing rank for B.Des was 76 for the General AII India category students. Talking about IIT Guwahati UCEED cutoff 2023, the B.Des cutoff ranged between 70 and 86. So, considering the 2023 cutoff, candidates must secure a rank between 70 to 90 to get into IIT Guwahati for B.Des admission.
Qualifying marks for JEE Mains 2026, also called qualifying percentile for JEE Mains will be announced by the NTA along with the JEE Main 2026 session 2 result. Candidates must note that qualifying percentile for JEE Mains 2026 is the minimum percentile required to appear in JEE Advanced 2026.
