IIM Ahmedabad considered two kinds of CAT scores for MBA admission - Qualifying and Final score. After qualifying CAT score, the minimum sectional and overall CAT score is used to shortlist students for the Analytical Writing Test (AWT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds. The overall CAT qualifying cutoff for 2023 admission at IIM-A stood at 99 for General category candidates, while the final cutoff is considered to stand between 99 and 100 percentile, for other category candidates. • Name of scholarship: Special Need-Based Scholarship Scheme
• Eligibility for scholarship: Candidates can avail of this scholarship on the basis of annual gross family income, ownership of assets, and the number of dependents in the family.
• When to apply for this scholarship? The application for this scholarship is invited every year in the month of July/ August.

As per the details collated from unofficial sources, the total tuition fee for the PGP and PGP FABM course for the 2024-26 batch is INR 18.3 Lacs (inclusive of all taxes). However, the aforementioned fee is only indicative considering it is sourced from unofficial sources. However, as per the official website, the over MBA programme fee is inclusive of tuition fee, course materials fee, student’s stay and food during campus visits and other service facilities, such as library, etc. Students can also pay this programme fee in installments. The institute shares the fee structure along with the admission offer. For the ease of the students, IIM-A also has tie-ups with multiple banks to offer collateral-free education loans.

IIM Ahmedabad and JBIMS are both top-ranked business schools in India, and both have excellent placement records. However, IIM Ahmedabad has a slightly better placement record than JBIMS Mumbai. In the 2022 placements season, the average salary for IIM Ahmedabad graduates was INR 22.17 LPA, while the average salary for JBIMS graduates was INR 20.13 LPA. • Fees: The fees for the MBAprogrammeat IIM-A are significantly higher than the fees for the MBAprogrammeat JBIMS Mumbai. The total cost of attendance for the MBAprogrammeat IIM-A is around INR 20 lakhs, while the total cost of attendance for the MBA program at JBIMS Mumbai is around INR 5 lakhs.
• Location: IIM-A is located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. JBIMS Mumbai is located in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Ahmedabad is a smaller city than Mumbai, and it has a more relaxed pace of life. Mumbai is a large, cosmopolitan city with a vibrant culture.

·       Placements: The placement records of both schools are very strong. The average salary package for MBA graduates from IIM-A is around INR 25 lakhs, while the average salary package for MBA graduates from JBIMS Mumbai is around INR 20 lakhs. The highest salary offered to an IIM Ahmedabad graduate was INR 74 LPA, while the highest salary offered to a JBIMS graduate was INR 60 LPA.

If you are looking for a prestigious business school with a strong global reputation, IIM-A is a great option. If you are looking for a more affordable business school with a strong alumni network, JBIMS Mumbai is a great option.

Candidates seeking admission to the two-year PGP of IIM Ahmedabad must appear in the Common Admission Test (CAT). CAT 2023 (considered for admission to the 2024-26 batch) will take place in November 2023. Candidates who are interested in seeking admission to the 2024-26 batch were able to apply online and register themselves on the official website of CAT after the CAT registration process is open.

In general, while registering for CAT, candidates must apply for PGP of IIM Ahmedabad by selecting the option available in the online registration form. The application fee for CAT (General/ OBC category) is INR 2,400. There is no additional cost included to apply for IIM Ahmedabad.
