Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) - Batch of 2023

I am absolutely dissatisfied with teaching, not a single placement, and no value for money at all.
Placements: There is no placement in the B.Arch department. Students search for work on their own. To get jobs outside of the campus, your portfolio should be good. Regarding internships, half the class did unpaid internships. Some worked in teacher's firm only and very few students got paid internships, that was recommended by teachers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is average. The chairs and tables are very old and some of them are broken. The lighting in the classroom is good. The window air-conditioners are also old they just blow air, as long as someone is near to air-conditioner, they will feel it. Else for the size of the classroom, the air-conditioners are not that powerful. The projector is good. Wi-Fi signals are not strong but it works and many useful sites are blocked. There is always construction going on so it's always dusty and loud. The canteens are average to good and prices are high. There is no international food chain company like Dominos, KFC, etc. There is a medical facility but it is very expensive. They charge whatever they want. The sports grounds are good. There are basketball, football ground, and badminton courts. One can play whatever they want.
Faculty: Curriculum relevance is average. Many things are missing that should be taught compared to some good government colleges. In previous years, there were no relevance between subjects, but slowly it's coming on track now. We learn everything on our own. Most of the teachers come to class and just tell us what is the work, not how, or why and it's not safe to question them or else, a student might lose a year and they will not thing twice, they will just do it, so be careful. Some teachers are helpful. Students can clear their doubts after class also and their teaching is understandable. Students will not be industry-ready if they don't learn and work outside the campus because there is not much exposure here. The only thing related to the course is class here. So students have to go out and experience it on their own. Examinations are not always the same but it's always hectic. There were extra classes till 8:00 pm or 8:30 pm in the month of December and even after that 1/3 of the class failed. Some of the students left the college (around 25% of students) due to this hectic and irrelevant work. The passing percentage is average. Some students get excellent without doing work. Some get just good with complete work. It's totally unpredictable.
Other: I was always interested about architecture and the best thing is students get to design their own work but it's not always possible here. There should be proper regulations and course structure for the course. There is no direction for the course. There is not a proper structure for the 4th semester that we should design and work on. It's just some random work will be given. This need to be improved. Scholarship varies very much and someone is eligible, they need to make a round of departments and it's only valid till the first year only. Campus life is good. There are many restrictions but there are annual fest, sports, extracurricular activities, and clubs. Everyone can participate in it. The nearby areas and surroundings are not good and not safe. Connectivity during day hours is good but there is no connectivity during night hours. There is one very small market where things other than basics are not available. If someone needs something which is not regular in daily life, they have to travel at least an hour. Mobile networks are also average to good depending on services.

The environment is good and provides fine infrastructure.
Placements: Teachers help students a lot in getting placed in a good office. Students are also given proper electives to brush their skills and know more about the field. As students have a compulsory course internship everyone is placed in a good firm. The packages offered are very low.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, laboratories, and classrooms are well-equipped. But there is a lack of extra-curricular activities and site visits organised by this college due to which there is a lack of practical knowledge. It focuses more on theoretical knowledge. A hostel facility is also available on campus but it is relatively expensive.
Faculty: Exam are relatively easy. Most of the things are covered in the syllabus, talking about theory part where as it lacks practical knowledge. Proper arrangements of exams are also made. Around 80% of students are completely passed in every semester. There is a provision to give exam for failing students during the summer.

Review of School of Architecture and Planning, Sharda University.
Placements: About 30% of the students got placed from college. It depends on the efforts and quality of work of a student. The salary offered is Rs. 40,000 per month in an architectural firm. It also depends upon a students performance in the internship. Almost all the students got internships in architectural course from Sharda University.
Infrastructure: The best part about Sharda University is the infrastructure and the social life of the students. There are various types of ethnicities in our college from all around the world which makes enriching socio-economic atmosphere. Architectural Studios, Wi-Fi and labs are fine in quality matters. The food, hostel and other accommodation are quite costly for an average person.
Faculty: Architecture is a professional course, and teachers & professors in our college take it seriously. All the teachers are much qualified in matters of knowledge and experience. The course curriculum is relevant only for knowledge matters. The rest is dependent on the quality of experience one accumulates with their hard work.
Other: I opted for this course because it is a creative course which stimulates and satisfies one enough, including the earning which it makes. If the workload given would be more appropriate to the upcoming challenges in the field, then it would be a great addition to the course. The college atmosphere is great, and the crowd is amazing. There are a lot of extra-curricular activities going around on campus which will keep engaged.

Placements: No placement offered not even a single company that came here for placement. no top recruiting company for course that came at sharda university. internship was off campus only and no on campus internship were provided at sharda university. top role that could opt is interior designer animation graphics etc.
Infrastructure: Facility and infrastructure available for course department like labs, classroom, library and wi-fi all facilities are very well maintained and well constructed interior department is also good and provided many facilities the hostel for both boys and girls are very well.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable at the same time friendly and encouraging too as they provide you with work for interior teachers provide you with work if you are good at your work and teaching quality is good as well course curriculum is relevant is you are good ATIT.

It is an average college in all aspects.
Placements: Because of the new course, a number of placements from our college are very low. Only a few students go for the field job, and other students go for their family business or start their firm. I don't know about salary packages offered to our seniors. Top roles offered as an assistant. The junior supervisor was the role offered in a firm name Lasani Interior. Okhla company offered more execution roles approximately all over India.
Infrastructure: Facilities provide by the college are good enough, but the faculty's approach to the students is very pathetic. I am not a hosteller, so I didn't know the facilities provided by them. Medical and sports facilities are good.
Faculty: Most of the teachers in our college are helpful and available anytime for us to help. The course curriculum is a little bit relevant to the industry. All teachers have good industry knowledge. But they don't know how to make students study and make them industry prepared before they leave college.
Other: I chose this course because I have a background of interior designing, as my father is in the industry from the past 25 years. So I want to expand the business in all aspects. Improving teacher quality and some changes in the curriculum will make a difference in this course.

It is improving year by year, but I am dissatisfied with the faculty members.
Placements: B. Arch course in 3rd year has about 40 students, and it has only one class with 7 teachers. The average salary offered is Rs. 40,000 per month and the highest salary offered is Rs. 80,000 per month. Some students are pursuing masters, and some are pursuing PhD. About 70% of the students in our course got an internship.
Infrastructure: There are 7 blocks, and each of them has their course like SET, SBS, SAP, SOL, SAHS, SNSR, SOE, SADMS, SOP, SHSS, SDS, SMSRS and SSR. It has a very famous Mandela Hostel for both girls and boys. It has 14 floors. The college provides a library on block 2 on the 8th floor. Labs are available in block 2, and Wi-Fi facility is available in all blocks. The quality of is the hostel is poor. The quality of the food served in the canteen is good. There is a basketball ground, football and tennis ground for students.
Faculty: Faculty members teaching quality is good. Faculty members try their best to make us explain the concept clearly. The course curriculum is relevant. I think students will be ready to face the working world after graduation. They teach us all the software knowledge we need in companies.
Other: I have chosen this course because I like drawing and I like maths. I wish the college should improve the subjects.
